:cursing:I was banded on feb 27th and I haven't had a fill yet. My first fill is april 17th. I can't wait...but obviously I stopped losing about a week and a half ago. I have lost 30 lbs but it has stalled and I am anxiously waiting my fill. Thats the back story Where- Work When- Yesterday Who- Co-worker This co worker who knows I have had surgery because the people here are freaking big mouths. About once a week he asks me about it even though I don't usually have much to say on the subject. He came up to me yesterday and said "Why is your face broke out?" It caught me off gaurd...I do have a zit on my forward and some spots on my chin. It happens. I didn't know what to say so I just stood there open mouthed So, he answered himself. "It's because you have been eating chocolate, huh? You haven't lost anymore weight right? Why did you stop? Your not eating like your suppose to huh?" I spent the rest of the day feeling fat and pimply. Why can't people mind their own business.
  2. I didn't go to prom because I couldn't stand the hillbillys I grew up with. Two girls actually showed up in a camo dress. Not even the "fashionable" camo but the kind that has real pictures of leaves and bark on it. I just want to wear the pretty dress. I wasn't anti-social growing up, I was anti-preppy. Esp. anti-preppy hillbilly.
  3. I just can't comprehend that. Your in a car going fast by other drivers going fast. You have to pay attention and protect yourself. If I have to use my cell I use hands free. You need your hands for driving.
  4. You look great up there bbk
  5. I'm staying on plan today because I need to show myself that I can do this.
  6. She is probablee running around enjoying her new figure.
  7. A cotton sundress, light and airy. I want to look good in a prom dress. I have never found one that looks good and I love to dress up. Since I didn't go to my prom I want to have a "prom" party when I lose weight.
  8. Update on the scale- I haven't weighed myself since I wrote that originally. I guess I will see at the Dr.'s office. But I keep reminding myself that the scale doesn't matter. My health does. So I am going to focus on NSV. They have just slowed down. But I will go in for my first fill FINALLY on the 17th. Oh and Gibson- Its still dead. I ripped its batteries out.
  9. Wheetsin I love your post. They are informative and easy to understand.
  10. I used the patch to quit. I didn't gain any weight because everytime I wanted to smoke I would get some cold water and drink it through a straw. It gave my mouth something to do with the familarity of the slender round object in my mouth, and the water helped me keep from gaining.
  11. I really really wish I did...but I don't. I need a local weight loss buddy who works the same schedule I do.
  12. thats really interesting. Does the band scrape a nerve?
  13. Ha! you misunderstand It is not that they are wrong they can be too short not the greatest...but I haven't written one since high school.
  14. I have to amend mine by today. yikes
  15. Yeah. I just imagine a new guy looking at the some chart and it says "POS". If it were me I would think that they had made someone mad. I would like to be referred to as PP (pleaseantly plump) oh wait...THats not much better is it... What about "Curvy Undertall Not Thin"? Oh wait...
  16. Okay I get it. But then they should do something besides eyestimate how big a person is. If I were a foot taller I might fit in those seats...but my weight would be the same. Then again if they asked me how much I weighed...I would lie, and be angry that they dared to ask me. Hmm....I will have to think on this.
  17. I'll send you my best wishes and thoughts.
  18. Preach on sister. Esp. bc the original post has actually been deleted. Not that I'm complaining- After is was edited three times it actually became very rude.
  19. Me too. Plus you not just going to kill yourself, if you have both eyes on a cell phone texting on the interstate chances are when you wreck you will take out someone else...maybe someone who is putting on mascara in the mirror so they didn't notice when you veered in their lane.
  20. Congrats being in wonderland, but sorry you were sick. Oh you poor thing. I hate throwing up. Ugh. Not that anyone likes it, but still, it sucks. Glad you are feeling better.
  21. Good question Judy. I haven't had mine for long, but I meet someone who had there lapband for 5 yrs the other day (she had lost 350lbs already *gasp*)
  22. I go to the Dr. on the 17th. Possibly for my first fill. I need to talk to him. I have these...twinges in my tummy. Where the band is I feel this under the skin irratation sometimes. Not always, but often enough I know it is there. If I lay on my side I can feel just a little uncomfortable. I wouldn't call it "pain" maybe just a little "hurt" if you know what I mean. I was banded on Feb 27th. Am I not healed completely. I thought I was. I am def. going to talk to my Dr. and see what he thinks, but I was wondering if this is normal or if I should be extra worried. Or shoot it might be gas. (sorry tmi) but my burps are so wimpy since this band.
