  1. That is the funniest NSV, but only because I could completely understand it. Mine probabley shaves 50 lbs off. I just couldn't ever bring myself to change it.
  2. I didn't think she said Her dr. told her to do that. Maybe he/she did but I didn't catch that. I don't know. I do somethings my dr. tell me that I don't agree with. I wasn't even told to go on a pre-op diet until two days before my surgery, so I guess every Dr. is diffrent.
  3. That is a really good question. I am curious to see the answers.
  4. Travel girl you are too funny
  5. 144 is below my goal weight. To me thats tiny. My dr. told me soda or carbonation in general could stretch your pouch, and it is possible...It was my understanding that is one of the things a fill is for...then again you eat soo little. I hope you figure it out.
  6. I just wanted to say that as much as this as her attitude hurts you, it hurts her more. You can't control feelings of jealousy, you can only try to ignore them and I am sure she has. If you are as close as you say she is probabley wishes those negative feelings would go away. Give her time to deal with it. If she hasn't said anything directly negative about you or your weight loss she is probabley doing the best she can to overcome these negative thoughts she doesn't want to have. Talk to her. Remember to be understanding. I hope this helps, but mostly I hope that in the end whatever you do stregthens the bonds of your sisterhood.
  7. some buffets (like golden corral) besides the buffet has options where you can buy a dinner instead. With the basic, meat, potato, veggie option. Maybe lead your family to a buffet such as this?
  8. The only thing I can think to say is go on this journey togethor. Have your meals togethor and help her explore other outlets to replace repressive/emotional eating. That is something I think most of us are working on. My family, also is a family of overweight, men-oppressed, and abused woman. WE have to learn to love ourselves despite what have been done to us, and to not punish ourselves with overeating. We are worth more than that. And maybe your mother could be involved, not suggesting or knowing if she needs to lose weight, but it could be fun. You could all go to a painting class, or walk togethor. If you include her maybe she would be more willing to encourage better eating habits. Either way, I hope this helps. Its a hard situation and I can only say that you and your family are not alone in this issue.
  9. Glad to have you. I am glad I am not the only one thinking of commiting scale-a-side.
  10. To revisit this- Pb- Throwing up undigested food Is this right? The productive burp has always had me confused. I think I've done this once.
  11. I am really having a doozy with the scale right now. I am wondering if I drop it from a three story window if it would work better. Maybe it just needs a good kick.
  12. That is really sucky. I love apples. I don't have a problem yet, but I am, alas, fill-less as of yet.
  13. haha! Me too. I always say when I mess up "oh, me Louiserana Edukation is showin" You know. I do hate things written in all caps. I don't mind bad spelling etc. but all caps annoys me, but I usually just don't read them. It hurts my eyes.
  14. Hi all! That it's but they said I had to write more because it was too short.
  15. Dear Jerk, You tease me. I thought the conversation we had the last time I came to visit would make a diffrence. I pleaded with you to move , to change. I can't keep coming back to the same old unsatisfactory circumstances. I bargained with you, rationalized with you, pleaded with you. I thought we understood one another afterwards. And, oh, you changed. I will give you that. You moved and I appreciate that. I think you must have misunderstood me, however. I wanted you to move DOWN not UP. I am offended that you didn't listen to me. I can talk and talk til I am blue in the face, but yet nothing seems to work with you. Don't be confused. I will move on. There are a lot of scales that would want me. Don't take me or my bathroom floor for granted or I will be done with you. Toss you in the trash with my empty cartons of soy milk and old cans of tuna. Don't think I won't. I deserve better. I am worthy of a scale that listens. Shape up or ship out. This is your FINAL warning. Thanks for your time. Tara (ReadySteadyGo)
  16. Oh that sounds horrible. It is really hard to stop eating when you know you should. Its the downside of restriction. Your brain is saying "NO not yet!" but your stomach is saying "NO MORE"
  17. Congrats on the victories everyone.
  18. My dr. told me to be on two days of 2 days of liquids/2 days of mushies/ 2 days of soft solids after a fill. Is this what everyone tries to do?:confused2:
  19. I am staying on plan today so the scale will move the right way.
  20. Thin and crispy pizza hut pizza- bacon and mushroom. AAAAAAAAAA:cursing:
  21. Me too Jack. If I am buzy I will forget to eat, I used to have skinny friends a few years ago that would talk about forgetting to eat and I was like "how do you forget to eat? You have a constant reminder in your belly telling you 'FEED ME' all the time!" But I have noticed, that if I am buzy or preoccupied that insistant feeling sometimes goes away completely. I forget to eat. Just like a skinny girl in the making.
  22. Whats this? Hello my little victorious Valentines!
  23. I am staying on plan today because something has to go right for me today.
  24. you look fantastic. Such a diffrence a month makes!
