Stalls definitely make me reevaluate how well I'm following the plan and how I can do even better. I'm thankful for that. I'm determined to focus on the plan instead of taking on other unhealthy measures to make the scale move.
Being thankful for stalls still might require what one might call "graduate level gratitude." haha
I had no idea that people lose more inches during a stall, btw!

Finally!!! Sleeved 3/28, down 92 lbs and finally hit that beautiful onderland! I've been stuck at exactly 200 for a week! Put of all the ounces I've lost, these 2 were the most exciting and hard!

I just made some cauliflower pizzas. They were very good. I didn't put any meat on the top, just made them with mozzarella cheesy goodness. There are a lot of recipes for them but here is one of them: http://weightwise.com/recipe-cauliflower-crust-pizza/
Here's the one I used. I just found it. http://barixclinics.com/blog/recipe-cauliflower-pizza/

I do the Bariatric fusion (Mixed berry Flavor). In my opinion, they are very palatable (a little sweet, but not too sweet). In tiny print for the Supplement Facts, it says on there for Gastric Bypass and Gastric Sleeve patients to take 4 a day. I chew all 4 of them, all in the morning, one after another. After each one, I take a sip of hot tea (or whatever hot drink you want).
My NUT explained to me that having 4 of them would fulfill all the requirements that you need for the day including the Vitamin B12, Iron, D3, and Calcium.
    My labwork has been great.
I wish you the best in finding one that works, but think that the Bariatric Fusion is a great choice because you won't need anything additional.

I definitely went through a prolonged period where food lost its appeal. Bland and unexciting. At the time I was a bit concerned too, but now in retrospect, I view it as a plus. It was something that helped me, along with feeling full for the first time in my life, kick a lot of unhealthy eating habits for good.
It didn't last forever, and I doubt yours will either, although some of my tastes in food never returned, like eating meat - I still have no desire for it at 14 months. Everything else I gave up during that golden period of weight loss, when nothing tasted good, like bread, Pasta, soda, sweets, salt and other things, I might have gone back to eventually, but being away from it for so long, I no longer crave them anymore. And to be extra safe, I don't allow them in my house.
It's so amazing to finally be free of their power over me. Nothing I gave up compares to how great I feel now! ????
    Hang in there!

I 100% promise you that you are not gaining fat. It is not scientifically possible for you to gain fat on that few calories. To gain a pound of fat, you have to ingest 3500 more calories than you burn. Likely you are retaining Water for some reason. It could be too much sodium. It could be sore muscles. It could be hormonal. You really really really should just stay off the scale in these early weeks. You are going to drive yourself crazy.

walk, walk, walk, walk...IT helps! the more I walked the better the sipping.. I used a 10ml medicine cup for the first couple of days, the gas pains will probably go away soon, mine lasted only a couple of days after surgery.

I just got this bs from a nurse at the er.. After looking at my chart she said "im thinking about having that done, have you lost a bunch of weight already?" When informed her that ive lost 30 lbs she went on and on on how did i get insurance to cover it no way was i big enough to NEED surgery etc. But i got that from nurses at the hospital i got it done at as well....Do i care no! thankfully the few people in my personal life that know have not said diddly about it, they know me well enough to know that their opinion on my body does not matter . They will talk about you if you get healthy, and they will talk about if you gain 100 more lbs.....I hate that this type of surgery has to be explained ....if you had a bad heart nobody will say "well its still beating so you dont need surgery"

Started at 245, goal is either 125 or 130, depending how I feel when I get there. Currently at 137, and down 108 pounds so either 7 or 12 pounds from goal. Currently in a size 6/8 depending on brand.
I'm thrilled with my success so far, and feeling more like a normal person about how I approach food. Struggling with body image, as I know size 6/8 is not fat, but with jiggly excess skin on the tummy, I don't feel very trim. Working on that.
Where are the pics people?? Lol

If I have a craving I have it. I haven't yet found a food I can't tolerate. BUT I'm 6 months post op and I followed my post op diet plan to the letter. I can eat bread, Pasta, salad, all meats etc without problems. The only time I had a problem was when I ate far too quickly. I never did that again! However, my portion sizes are tiny. So if I get a Chinese takeaway (e.g. chicken curry with fried rice) on a Saturday night, I get 10 portions out of it which I freeze for lunches at work.

SleeveG reacted to GamblinAJ in 1 year out. (Ok a tiny bit over)
So I'm just over a year from my surgery day. And just under 2 years from when I made the decision to make a life change. In October of 2014 I attended my first class about bariatric surgery. This class is the initial class that helps you decide if it is for you or not.(or to at least go on to the next step) That first day my weight was 422, and I decided to go forward with the bypass.
I had to then wait to be assigned to a class, a class that lasts 12 weeks. It tought me everything about the surgery and new life I would be expecting. This class began in January of 2015.
Well after completion in March I had lost about 10lbs to 412. Then came the long waiting period. One that they made clear. "Don't call us we will call you!" So I waited, and waited and waited some more. Then got the call the 2nd week of August, 2015. And the wheels got going and fast! Less then two weeks later I was at the hospital on August 24th having surgery.
On the day of my surgery I weighed in at 409lbs. The surgery went great. Afterwards I had little to no pain and was up walking immediately. The year has been a great journey. Today I weigh in at 208lbs and feel great. It has been a fantastic journey. I have no regrets and qould do it again without a doubt. I have been around temptation plenty. Several trips to Vegas including a stay for 9 days. I've been to winery's. All the time not touching alcohol and steering cleer of the food that ruined my life.I'm thankful for the tool I was given and plan on using it to the fullest. Best of luck to anyone thinking of having the surgery, and continued success to those who have had this life changing experience. As for me last year I changed my health, this year I change my job. Think positive????

My comments were based on my own experiences. The OP was being very rude with his lashing out and made a sweeping comment that I chose not let stand, thusly I replied.
I could have simply been a dick and called his comment total b.s.
Instead, I chose to talk to the young bro. I've lived a little longer than he has and hope that he can benefit from my mistakes.
For the life of me I can't even understand why people get so wrapped around the axle over subjects and postings.
There are some really fine people on here that I truly enjoy communicating with.......and I value their input.......regardless of where the thread originates. Then there are some I simply prefer to ignore and move on past.

I use these exclusively for my Protein shakes. It was the only one I really could stomach. I tried so many types too. You can buy them at Target (4 packs) Amazon (12 packs) or BJs (12 packs). I actually bought a membership for BJs because they were almost $10 cheaper than Amazon between listed price and tax (no food tax in MD but Amazon charges me for it). Right now I am three months post op and I have one of these for Breakfast every morning. I don't do eggs and my Breakfast options are highly limited so this does the trick.
Only small complaint about this one is that it needs to be shaken WELL. I've made the mistake of not shaking it enough to find clumps in it which isn't too pleasant.
