  4. My nutritionist said if I keep up losing like I am I might lose over 50 pounds in my 6 months but I am lots heavier lol. My bmi is 60 used to be 61 so yeah. But I have my 3rd nutritional appt june 4th then I'll have 9 more after that and I should be done with it in october! I wish all of you guys just beginning your process luck. I hope to hear more about your journeys.
  5. Aww Abby. I do hope things start going better for you. When I get hungry now I drink some Water or eat a yogurt and I don't let my mom or me buy any more junk food that I CAN binge on. Lol yesterday I was sick and really hungry from being sick all day and having nothing in me so I ate like 3 bowls of salad. Filled me up plus it wasnt bad for me at all. I used to do exactly what you did. Buy Cookies eat a whole bag, feel depressed over what I did, eat more because I was depressed etc. I dunno what came over me I havent even had surgery yet! I've come to see when I eat a bad food now like chocolate or chips or fast food not even over eating just eating normally it makes me feel sick to my stomach and I'll have a stomach ache for a few hours. I've just gotten into the healthier eating mode wanting to lose weight on my 6 month diet before surgery. I've been eating so much healthy food that I am not even getting the right amount of calories in so I had to add some things that had a bit of higher calories so I could get past 1200 a day. I was down in the 800, 900, 1000. Anyway I wish you luck.:cursing:
  6. My nutritionist told me not to go below 1200 calories. Said to stay between 1200-1600. She said going below 1200 was unhealthy and would cause my body to start eating away at the muscle instead of fat and go into starvation mode.
  7. Jeanie sent me to Dr. kennel
  8. Welcome to LBT. Hope to hear more from you. Congrats on having surgery and starting a new chapter in your life.
  9. My insurance requires all the same things yours does taylor. The time really does go quickly. I should be having my surgery in November. Thing is even if they accept you into the program you can still be denied afterwards if you don't pass your psych eval or don't do something right in your 6 month time. I have 5 months left then have to fax all my paperwork from the 6 months in and wait for a response. Let us know how things go.
  10. Welcome to LBT. I wish you luck in starting your journey again. I understand totally not being able to do this on your own. The band will be a great tool for us all who are still not banded. Again good luck and I like the quote in your signature. Hope to hear from you throughout your process.
  11. omg Marv I agree with you so much. We are all used to eating so much then when we eat so little it's like WTF the brain is screaming at you.
  12. Half of the hunger is in your head, you have to learn to control it. I wish you luck.
  13. From what I've learned at appts. It sounds like it's his port. I'm not sure, nor a doctor so you should call. lol.
  14. Congrats on surgery. You're definetly going to be hungry when on liquids. I hope things go well throughout healing. Try drinking more.
  15. Hi and welcome to LBT. Congrats on your banding, but the clots suck don't they. When I had my gallbladder out at 15 I got a blood clot in my leg. Clots can happen anytime you aren't very active especially while in the hospital/while healing from surgery at home etc. Us future bandsters know that there is a chance for complications so no worries about scaring us off lol. Once again welcome and hope to hear from you more and about upcoming successes.
  16. Congrats to Shore too for starting her journey once again!!
  17. I wish you luck ts505050. Hopefully this new surgeon can help you with your problems and knows what he's doing. Congrats on starting your journey again. Welcome back to LBT.
  18. Even though I have not been banded yet I do know a lot about it. The only reason I havent been banded already is my insurance wanting me to diet first. I just want to help and encourage people to be healthier and happier.
  19. Ahh to be a kindergartner again hehe. Hope you enjoy the concert.
  20. Lol I love that!!:scared2: So true too!
  21. I've never heard of a doctor saying not to do lowfat after lapband. Or not keep track of calories. Seems odd to me. Might want to ask him why he says that.
  22. I hope that too. It's better to lose slowly than lose nothing at all and to learn while going through it. Losing any amount of weight is fantastic.
  23. Welcome to LBT. I've seen several people on here who had RYN and then got lapbands and hernias shouldnt be a problem either. I hope you get the answers you are looking for and that this site helps you out.
  24. Congrats! I passed my psych eval last week but I still have 5 months nutritional classes. Good luck!
  25. I cant wait until I can wipe my butt properly LOL I know it sounds horrible but it's so true.
