  1. In touch with the real world is subjective. What "real world" is to some is not "real world" to others. That's part of why I am such a strong proponent of state's rights (and less government in general.....and to a much, much lesser degree why I tend to agree more with the republican philosophy). And BJean, I certainly can understand people's pain. Pain I get. What I don't understand is the irrationality of people.
  2. Uh, I didn't suggest that people voted for Obama because he's black.....I was taken aback that you were ashamed, or apathetic, to be an American for awhile. I didn't vote for Obama....it was political, not personal, or racial. But I'm not angry or bitter that he won. Heck, if he betters America we all benefit. Best of luck to him. What strikes me is how personal this race was for many Americans. Lots of turnout on both sides. That's how it is supposed to be. That alone makes me more proud than whoever the victor would be.
  3. Masturbation is an attack? Only if you're doing it correctly..... Kidding, Denise.
  4. I agree that America has recently had some tough times....but y'all mean to say that there was nothing in the last 8 years to make you proud to be an American?
  5. I wonder, if McCain had won, if Joy, Barbara, and Whoopi would have been as gracious??
  6. That's too funny. When you posted that Prop 8 was started by a bunch of Mormons (a few posts back), I assumed you meant to type "morons", and was just gonna let it slide....but nope, apparently it was indeed Mormons, eh?? That made me lol. Well, kinda yes and kinda no. "Basic human rights" is vague. What about the polygamists? Do they have a basic human right to marry 20 different people? What about the dude in the news awhile back that wanted to marry his horse (I know this comparison is somewhat offensive....but there will always be loons trying to push the envelope, legally)? There has to be a cutoff point somewhere, and no matter where it is, somebody will be crying about how intolerant the state is and how they're being denied basic human rights. I think a civil union would kinda be "more official" than traditional marriages, many of which are religious ceremonies.
  7. Mac, that was racist. I'd like an apology, plz. Um, better stay away from the newb section on LBT, lol. It'll happen for ya, Ebony!!
  8. congrats kc! Start reading through threads. There is a lot of good info that might start a dialog between you and your doc. Welcome aboard!
  9. Hi there pheobe! Glad to have you on board. There's a lot of good info to sort through here and a lot of good people to support you. Welcome!
  10. Hi blondie. First, congrats on losing the 23 lbs. Now is the time to re-focus and redouble your efforts. Watch your food choices and get exercise. Ok, I'll post what I usually eat. Keep in mind I'm a big dude and I work out moderately hard. I have a high metabolism, so (depending on yours) I probably burn more calories than you....therefore I probably take in more calories than you. Oh, and I work nights, so that screws things up a lot. Breakfast (actually when I get off work, around 630 - 7 AM) - scramble 2 eggs, munch on some lean lunchmeat - trying to get in that Protein. lunch (actually when I'm waking up from my sleep, around 3 PM) - 1 chicken breast diced up pretty small mixed in a bowl with some veg, with a small amount of "stir fry sauce" mixed in. Probably 2 cups worth. dinner (actually around 10 PM) Tonight, I have a slimfast, a pear, and some lunchmeat. I also brought another slimfast that I'll probably drink around 3 AM as a snack of sorts. I drink quite a bit of Water, and throughout the day I have some V8's. One more thing (sorry about the length of this post). It is important to retrain your body and mind on the concept of "feeling full". For a lot of us bandsters, in our old life we had confused "feeling full" with "feeling stuffed to capacity". Now that you are banded, try not to eat until you are "full". Instead, try to eat until you are "not hungry". It's a subtle difference, but an important point. Good luck blondie!!
  11. Are we talking degrees, or boobs? I'd rather talk boobs.
  12. Nancy, just admit that the whip is really for you and hubby.
  13. Fantastic job boner!
  14. Tina, I've followed this on your other thread. Since you brought it to the men's room, I'll give you my $.02: I understand that the knee-jerk reaction is to leave your husband. However, as you know, things are hardly ever that black & white. If you think there is even a small chance of working things out, I think it'd be better for the boys to give it a shot. However, I do find it a little troubling that your husband's affair went beyond the sexual. Sharing emotional secrets with "the other woman" is....well, words escape me. I can't think of any reason why he would go there, unless he had convinced himself that he was in love. Having said that, women can be extremely manipulative. I've had friends (really friends....not that old "I have a friend" when I'm referring to myself, lol) fall into an affair with trashy ladies simply because those women were able to make my friends feel young and desirable. So in the end, I think only you are in the position to make the call here. Forgiving an affair is undoubtably a huge uphill battle. You shouldn't stay just because you're afraid of being alone (because you wouldn't be for very long....as the others here have stated, you're hot) and you shouldn't leave just because you're angry. I realize that I have given you a wealth of contradictory opinion here, lol. Good luck!
  15. Still gaining and losing that pound. Holding at 303....although I would swear that I'm losing inches. I think the scale will catch up pretty soon.
  16. What Mike said! I've put on a lot more lean muscle since being banded (much easier to move, lol). Go for it!
  17. That is too funny. "McCain says rise up and revolt!!" Eh, give the secret service a little more credit. They're very, very good at what they do. Politics and religion are the two biggest relationship enders there are. Hells Yeah!! On this we agree. I think there should be government oversight / regulation over this (Like in Texas. I just got my concealed carry permit), but if everybody (uh, sane people, I mean) were armed, crime would go way down.
  18. Hahahahaha....Boy, they start out younger and younger, don't they? I didn't get my first sex whip until I was 17......
  19. Thanks. That's the explanation I was looking for. Whaaaaa?? *Mind blown* Maybe he does? Although I guess the power endorsement would be from Fidel's little brother....
  20. Riiiiiiight. It's a nice wish, Susan, but IDK...... Me either. I'll give it a try. Maybe I'll like as much as multiquote....
  21. I'm still confused. The term gender in human sexuality generally refers to to which sex a person identifies with, no? So even taking into account transsexuals and hermaphrodites, there's really only two genders (unless a person was totally asexual....and if they were asexual, they probably wouldn't be interested in any kind of a relationship). In the widespread sociological community, pansexuality is used as a synonym for bisexuality; due to the lack of physical or neurological proof for genders outside the gender binary. So.....if the sociologists use the terms pansexual / bisexual synonymously, what group of people favor the term "pansexual"?
  22. I'm sure your surgical team will fill you in when you make that consult. Congrats on the approval! Post Op is not so bad. You'll be back to 100% sooner than you think. I'm excited for you!!
