TJBintheOC got a reaction from thisfathasgot2go in 200 lbs sleevers
I was sleeved on June 25th 2015 and I was 200. Im 5'6. I am now 153. Some weeks I lost 3-5lbs and others 1, 2 or none. It's averaged out to about 12lbs a month. I want to be 140 and I'm not stressing. My doctor said the last 10 will come off slowly. ♥️

@@LisaLouBop, thanks, I had already found this thread and read through it after your suggestion. It seems that there are 2 schools of thought on being able to stretch your sleeve.
It would seem to me that the further out you are the more pliable and stretchy your sleeve can become. Maybe it can't stretch in the beginning due to the tightness caused by the initial swelling from surgery.
I'm 6 weeks post surgery, I really feel that I should not be able to hold 6ozs of food. But I noticed yesterday and today that I was eating ribs and chicken and could only eat a little over 2ozs.
All I can conclude from that is that the contents of the burrito bowl is just not that dense. In total I think it only had 2ozs of chicken in it and I only ate half the chicken the first time, the rest of the meal was cheese, Beans and guacamole.
I know I'm stressing for nothing. I just feel like this is my last shot at getting my life back on track and actually being in control of my weight loss for once. I really don't want to mess this up.

Your feelings are totally normal. I'm 9 wks out. Now most days I'm very happy. But some days I just feel sorry for myself. I think, I can't just take a big ole bite of a cheeseburger or gulp down Water. And, I can't believe I had to staple my stomach because I couldn't stop eating. Your mind is so powerful. I let myself feel those feelings and the next day when I get on the scale and I'm down another pound...it's so good!!!!!

TJBintheOC got a reaction from Comicbookguy in Will Drinking Water Get Easier?
I had Water nausea for the first month. I thought, I can't do this...I'm weak, have dry mouth, dehydrated...it was awful. Do what you can do. I literally drank a water bottle a day. I was so stressed reading how much everyone was drinking. I thought for sure I needed to go to the hopt for an iv. My nurse friend said unless you're throwing up, delirious, have a fever, etc., you're ok. Get water with minerals and electrolytes. It's like Gatorade without all the sugar. Try a straw too. That helped me get down more water. I'm 9 wks out and all issues have been resolved. I don't track my water, but I sip all day and probably get in 50-60 ounces. Good luck. ❤️

You've got this. Every day it will get better....physically or mentally. I'm 10 weeks out and I crave different stuff all day. I just let my mind think whatever...I can't eat it. I think we'll have these cravings until our minds catch up with our stomachs. We've eaten anything and everything for years. We've got this. Good luck. ❤️

You reached the famous three week stall. I had a few short stalls that lasted 3-5 days. Pay attention to the way your clothes are fitting and not the scale.
    This to, shall pass. ????

Iconic Protein (Sprouts). Its premade in a bottle. It's like a melted milkshake. It's thinner. Not so thick. Coco libre with protein (Sprouts). I've tried them all. I like thinner drinks. All that thick protein...no thanks. Good luck. ????

I feel exactly like you. But, I just let my brain do its thing. I tell my husband all the things I want for dinner. A burger, pizza, egg rolls, bread, grilled cheese, chips...and we laugh and I eat my 3-5 bites and I'm full. Some days I do feel sorry for myself, but then I see the pounds melting off and I'm ecstatic. Really just shows me I would have never gotten my eating under control. I think my brain will always work that way. Maybe in time my brain will catch up to my stomach. I still make big portions. I forget...I'm only going to be able to take 3 bites of this. I gave in a few times just to see what would happen. Took a "regular" bite of a burger and 2 big bites of pizza. Threw up and felt terrible for an hour. Great lesson. The pros far outweigh the cons. Was just thinking about Thanksgiving and how I'll be able to have one bite of everything. That's ok. Being thin and healthy is for more rewarding. I think we're all in the same boat when it comes to our brains. Good luck. ❤️❤️

I'm so sorry you're going through all of this. I was completely addicted to food and knew this surgery was the only way I could lose weight and keep it off. All I did was read diet books and obsess about my calories, carbs...every morsel I put in my mouth. In my opinion, you must relax. All this stress you are feeling is going to hinder your weight loss. I feel like we got this surgery to stop counting calories and obsessing about everything we put in our mouth. I eat what sounds good and stop when I'm full. I've lost 40lbs in 2 months. I don't keep track of anything. You are way too hard on yourself. It's about the journey, not the destination. Be happy along the way. You'll get there. Trust yourself. Love yourself enough to know you've got this. See what happens if you let all this stressing go and listen to your body. It won't fail you. I feel your pain and anxiety. Good luck. Trust yourself. ❤️
