  1. The first couple weeks I did. I was dying for something and nothing helped. I caved one night and had a chocolate covered pretzel. After that the next couple weeks was salt. I wanted crunchy salty things. I started eating wheat thins with laughing cow cheese and it was divine. I could tell though that I was getting addicted and tempted to eat too many and made my husband hide them. Now I am fine. Its weird but try to ride out the craving if you can. Or have just a little of something and then get rid of it
  2. I was sleeved the 8th. So funny because I am sleeping in a recliner too. I still have pain in my neck, shoulders and back. I also had hernia repair. Everything else going good. The only thing I found I can't tolerate has been tilapia and avocado. Go figure. I also have to use crystal light or water drop enhancers because water tastes bad to me
  3. Seesuzyshrink......I could not do liquids or water either. It tastes really chemical like. The only shake I do is my coffee protein shake with milk in the morning and for water I have to use flavor enhancers. I found one that tastes like orange crush and it's awesome! Tastes just like the soda without the carbonation. Hope that helps
  4. Don't worry. I had surgery June 8th and I had my first stall a couple weeks ago. It lasted at least 10 days. I was feeling depressed and like a failure. I went on to you tube and found this girl called sleevedforlife and watched her videos and it made me feel so much better. Everything she went through and experienced I was going through. It also made me laugh with helped. Going on this board helped too. Don't worry you will do great Just keep following your plan
  5. After surgery I was 1 of those weird people who could not tolerate the taste of water. Doctor says it will eventually go away. I found water enhancers that taste like soda without the carbonation. I too drank big gulps alot. Luckily I worked hard to cut them out a few weeks before surgery but it was brutal. I have a water enhancer that is orange crush. It is awesome. They might have 1 that tastes like cola.
  6. I was 281 at my highest, day of surgery 277. I am 254 now. I am on my 6th week now. Don't worry. I was concerned with slow loss too but as long as the scale is going in the right direction and I am following my plan all is well.
  7. I have been in a stall for over a week and just broke it by following this advice.
  8. I took way too much. I was there 2 nights. Has x strips and chopstick was all I needed. Was so out of it most of the time I didn't even use my phone that much
  9. I am t weeks out and pretty much everything agrees with me except tilapia and avocado. Go figure. Really focus on smaller portions. I have learned through trial and error the last 2 weeks that less is more. Even though I can eat more I probably shouldn't.
  10. Mine said outpatient too and I was in the hospital 2 nights
  11. I have heard others talk about this. I too experience it when I do not get enough water in.
  12. I just quit the crackers too so hopefully that will break my stall
  13. Did you introduce a new food? If so go back to previous. Are you measuring your food. I get the slimrs when I eat too much at one time
  14. Drinking through a straw slowly too was the only way I could get my fluids down too
  15. I say yes. I wanted to be as accurate as possible
  16. A good stool softener is a must. I take 1 everyday since I have to take iron in addition to my multi vitamin
  17. I am eating eggs, cheese, chicken, tuna, wheat thins, laughing cow soft cheese, beans and banana
  18. My doctor said I could have crackers as long as they have e grams of fiber. I am also stalled so I am wondering if I should cut that out
  19. I wish. Lol. Unfortunately everything seems to agree with my new tummy. I might also add though that I really haven't tested the waters too much. I haven't eaten anything sugary or fatty so I guess it could happen
  20. Yeah pretty normal. I felt like crap until after two weeks. Everyone is different though
  21. I am experiencing the same thing right now. Some things I feel the restriction like meat or beans. Other foods not so much like cheese or fruit. I am almost 5 weeks out and I am still under 1000 calories a day. I am making sure to get plenty of fluids in to make sure the hunger isn't thirst and making sure to pick protein packed foods since the seem to fill me up longer. Its such a trial and error.
