  1. Yes. I had 5 iron infusions. I did not start feeling better for several weeks. I was also taking 3 iron pills a day. Just be patient. It will get better
  2. I am about 9 months out too. You have to look at old pictures. Remind yourself how bad you felt before. It's easy to get back into old habits. Go back on shakes for a week. Give yourself a reset. I went and tried on clothes I still want to wear but can't quit fit into yet. It does help. I also think about all the crap I had to do to have this surgery in the first place. I am determined to not gain back that weight

  8. My NUT said to add back in carbs. Best decision I ever made. I have about 100 grams a day and losing steadily. Carbs are not the enemy of chose the right ones.
  9. Taco bell chicken fresco soft taco. Port of subs lettuce or wheat wrap. Starbucks reduced fat turkey bacon breakfast sandwich. I very rarely eat these things though
  10. I just saw My NUT. And she said not to worry about carbs. She said calorie count was the main indicator. I am usually between 70 and 90 now. I am losing well. I actually just added back in some good carbs and I feel good

  12. The best way to control is get plenty of fluids, make sure it's not acid and eat on a schedule even if you don't think you are hungry.
  13. Yeah I feel your pain.I hate mine. The only days I have used it was when I was forced to in the hospital right after surgery. I. Tried right after surgery and it caused me pain in my chest so I quit and haven't used it since. I realize this isn't good but it's just my reality
  14. I am averaging about a half pound a day. That is with stall a included. It always seems slower than it is.
  15. I agree with the others on not over packing. I had to stay 2 nights. You will wear a hospital gown the entire time. I wore the same outfit into the hospital that I did out of the hospital. Lip balm and gas x strips were priceless. I will also highly recommend ear plugs. The nurses station was super loud and right outside my door. Everything else the hospital provided

  20. I just had my 8 week check up today and I return to work on Monday. My NUT said weight loss percentage was good and not to worry too much about the scale. She also said under t0 grams of carbs was too low. She also said over the next couple mo,the to increase calories to 1100. It's always a little scary but I will try. I went for fun today to try on clothing and I am down 2 sizes. It felt good to try on things I liked that for. I highly recommend it even if you don't buy anything. It does lift the spirits up!
  21. Make sure the headaches atent due to dehydration. I had really bad headaches for a few days after surgery and my surgeon said I could have excexrin of I cut it into smaller peices
