  1. For me liquids have been hard too. Water tastes bad to me. Doctor said it happens to some people and it will go away. I try to keep water with crystal light by my side. I set my phone alarm to go off every 15 minutes and then pour water on a one ounce little shot glass. That has helped
  2. Me too. It just depends. I really have to watch portions.
  3. I am o, week three and I can eat about 5 oz of Greek yogurt which is 1 container, it takes me awhile but I can. I can eat more than I thought I would be able to.
  4. I had a 2 week. I have a 1m2 month scheduled then I see my surgeon6 months and 1 year
  5. Marcemonster, don't worry. I know it's easier said than done. I just met with my NUT today and she said that the body goes through major metabolic and hormonal changes especially in the first 3 months. Just make sure you are reaching your fluid goal and protein goal everyday. I know it's hard because we want to see that scale move but you will soon!
  6. On week three now and in same boat. Down 13 since surgery.
  7. Does anyone know how many grams of carbs we should be consuming?
  8. Add milk if you can to your shakes. It helped me
  9. We need to all hold our own opinions and judgements aside. Unless you are the one pregnant facing this situation then you truly don't know what it's like. Lets all just support each other. Its a very personal problem and a very personal decision. No one opinion or view is wrong or right. Prayers with you and you have to make the decision right for you at this time in your life that at the end of the day you can live with. There are plenty here that will support you either way.
  10. They had a scale in the hospital and I stepped on it 2 days post op, I was almost 10 pounds heavier from all the fluids etc. Give it time. Everything will settle down
  11. The tip on crystal light with protein scoop on it is brilliant. Its really good.
  12. I have United Healthcare and I can have up to 2 surgeries covered
  13. You look great! People have a hard time with this concept. They just haven't adjusted yet or they are jealous

  16. I got a cold and it sucks. Just get those fluids in best you can. Hope you feel better
  17. I was able to take a shower on day. No bath though for like 6 weeks
  18. I know the feeling! The smells get to me to. I feel bad because I guess I was just staring a my family eating and they felt bad. I don't want them to feel that way. I try to time my meals around theirs and start eating a little bit before they do then I am good
  19. I am not as far out as you post op but I have to measure my food out or I am tempted to eat too much, also flavors of food have been amplified so everything's tastes so good. I have to eat a little and then sit there for a bit then eat again
  20. My doctor said 6 weeks. Just walking for now
  21. I was told to stay between 400 and 600 hundred calories
  22. Yeah I get that message everyday. Lol
  23. Our bodies are strange things sometimes. I am actually not weighing myself at all right now. I am only weighing at the doctor office. Everyone is different. Bodies need time to heal and adjust.
  24. I had a drain. My drain actually was causing me pain. I didn't even realize it until it was removed. Fluid did come out but I am sure I would have been fine without it. Surgeon said it speeds healing time. I felt The same way about staples. Kind of weird but I just went with it.
