Hello.  I am at the beginning of my journey.  I started to look into WLS at the end of January 2015.  I've had all my lab work done and met with the dietician, psychiatrist and surgeon.  My endoscopy is scheduled for May 1 and I have appointments with cardiologist and pulmonologist April 21 so they can clear me for surgery. I am going to have the vertical sleeve.  My surgeon is treating this as a first step with the d-switch being part two.  I am hopeful that the sleeve will be enough for me.  I am a self pay so the d-switch is really not a possibility for me.  I do not personally know anyone that has had one of these surgeries, so I guess I am hopeful that I will be able to get some additional support from all of you.  Thank you.
