  6. I agree with kimby1029, I was told that using the pill was not effective because the absorption changes after being sleeved. My husband and I have been EXTREMELY careful and use condoms for added protection. I was told to consider mirena or an IUD which I refuse to get. Heard too much about them.. Sticking with the added protection of the condoms. After vsg, my doctor said I would be highly fertile, so to be really careful. Someone I knew who was sleeved got prego around her 5 month post op, and had to see a obgyn that specialized in high risk pregnancies, to ensure the baby as well as herself was getting the proper nutrition. It was really tough on her. Hope everything works out well.

  11. I am 70 days post op and down about 45 pounds. Wish it was more, but had some issues a while ago with my eating. Anyhoo, Ive noticed in the past 2 weeks I have been increasingly nauseated, and I cant seem to understand why? I experienced nausea for about 1 week after surgery, and havnt experienced it again until recently. It is so strange?!! Anyone else experience this??

  18. You all are incredibly amazing!! I needed ALL of this.revamping my mind. Going back to square one and starting again. Also making an appointment with my nutritionist and a therapist for counseling. Im realizing that the underlying issue is grief related,as all of the foods ive recently tasted, are all foods my identical twin sister loved and we ate often as children.she passed away when we were 26, and it was such a devastating loss for me. Lately, ive missed her something terribly, and find that i find anyway possible to just feel close to her again. I went through wi the surgery in hopes that it would enable me to be healthy, and live a long life for her small children. One who is only 4.its been 4 years since she passed. Thanks everyone.I just needed some way to vent.
  19. So im 2 months post op and down 40 pounds. I honestly believe I could be down more if I had followed my eating plan to a T, but I have not. I can pretty much eat what I want, of course at a small percentage and thats what Ive pretty much been doing. My portions have been small and im losing at a rate of about 4 pounds per week, and excersize everyday. Ive even had doritoes,Cookies, soda, pizza, fries, icecream and candy. .although I wasnt able to eat much of those items,I know I should not have even tried them. Ive decided that I need to buckle down although Im still losing because I desire my change to be lifelong. I need some help. How do I start over? Like what should I do to revamp and cleanse my body?

  23. you are completely right. I did have one slip up with the hubby after I was cleared for activity if you get my drift where we didnt use any protection. We never did anyway as I was trying to conceive anyway. We were told to wait atleast 14 months to start again, and have been planning on waiting.we just slipped that one time and didnt use any type of BC. It would blow my entire mind if I was, as we have tried for 4 years to conceive and since I have pcos have not been able to. Would be incredibly crazy! I really hope im not. Im going to test tomorrow going to try soft foods for a few days to see if that helps. Thanks so much! Im also calling the doctor in the a.m
  24. So let me say I am 50 days post op and down about 35 pounds. I have tried things that I should not have tried and even pushed my limits with experimenting with various foods with my sleeve. For those of you thinking of even eating foods and things that you should not, DONT!! anyhoo, for the past 3 days I have been having bouts of nausea. Now, Im constantly feeling sick to my stomach.smells are getting to me and even some foods have made me feel sick as if I will puke .Anyone experience this for sometime after having surgery? I think my sleeve is sick...
  25. I was sleeved 06/10/2015 and about 3 weeks after I started experiencing hunger spells but was told it was "head hunger". After I started working out I have been increasingly hungry and ALL the time. I was told it was due to my metabolism increasing as well as me personally needing to increase my protein intake.

  27. Let me admit that im having a difficult time chewing my food up really well as im having a difficult time dealing with mushy food being in my mouth. Im still eating pretty fast. Today I ate a piece of beef jerky(ive eaten it before with no issues) and 15 minutes later,I felt this painful intense throbbing in my stomach that actually felt like a heartbeat. It lasted about 5 minutes and was so bad I had to sit down.it was awful pressure and this intense throbbing pain that actually felt like a heartbeat. What happened? Lets just say There will be no more Jerky in my future!????..and should I be concerned?
