  1. Now I am big on attack the issue and not the person. In this case I don't think she was being disrespectful. I think she was just having fun with the rant. I hope no one felt personally attacked. It just didn't come off that way to me. I hope I'm right.
  2. Funny yet makes the point so well!
  3. I agree with that sentiment.
  4. I repeat: What about McCain's behavior (re: last night's debate)? How is it that a Rep. has not posted their disappointment with that? That behavior was shameful. It demonstrated that Bush is not the only high functioning moron in the Rep. Party.
  5. If I wanted to play the race card, I could deal the whole deck. I am just simply calling a "spade a spade" lol! I am not saying that all Republicans feel this way. However, there are some that do. If Republicans scare that easily, then that shows they lack confidence and competence. It's amazing to me that in everything that was said in the op the racial issue is the only thing that received a comment. What about McCain's behavior? How is it that a Rep. has not posted their disappointment with that? That behavior was shameful. It demonstrated that Bush is not the only high functioning moron in the Rep. Party.
  6. ROFLMAO:lol::teeth_smile::wink_smile::biggrin::redface::smile2:
  7. Thanks for sharing! That article reassures me that there are Republicans that are willing to admit the obvious.
  8. When you find that people are not supportive follow this rule: "stop having That conversation with THAT person." Best wishes.
  9. Mission accomplished! I got to rant and extend an olive branch to you s-n-t. Common ground is a heck of a thing that unites people. Palin is the scariest of all! To say to a major news anchor in a major media outlet "I am sure there is a list, I'll get back to ya" or something like that is outrageous. Also, to add insult to injury the Rep. defended her. She should have been exiled to the maritime border that her state shares with Russia so that when Putin rears his head she could see the world laughing at her. Did I go too far? Wonk Wonk...
  10. Exactly, LB. I forgot to mention how angry McCain seems. He is bitter. Warmonger is a great way to describe the old man.
  11. I posted the following in another thread but I though t that it would be appropriate here as well. I am sorry to be repetitive but it is something that I needed to get off of my chest: There are Republicans that have expressed through various forums and media outlets that they are disappointed with their party BUT can't bring themselves to vote for Obama because he is "scary". Was there a memo sent that officially adopted using this adjective to describe Obama? There are also Republicans that will not vote for Obama because of his skin color (there may be some Dem. that have crossed over because of this as well), they have also tried to plant lies claiming that he is a Muslim and when they type his name they will put HUSSEIN in all caps to drive home their point. This is the USA and everyone is entitled to their opinion. I would respect the Rep. more if they admitted that their main issue with Obama is skin color and his name. Not the cliche' of inexperience (they support Palin for crying out loud and will defend her stupidity -yes I said it - on the issues). Ahhh, but they fool themselves and try to fool America by saying that his skin color or name does not matter. Bull shiggity! But to their defense, they are simply following the tone and demeanor of their leader McCain. Last night, this was validated through his actions. He looked away when shaking Obama's hand. He would not even look at him even after the moderator, Jim Leher instructed the candidates to do so (and no, the fact that he has an adopted daughter from Bangladesh will not be accepted as evidence to the contrary, nor will the I have a black friend rule be allowed) McCain was undignified, condescending, and insulting. He looked very familiar to a southern girl like myself. I was waiting for him to say that he would "stand in the white house doors"-re: Gov. George Wallace- before he would see Obama as president. Those of us that have experienced intolerance and discrimination witnessed an all too familiar scene. Think about it: For those that have struggled with discrimination or intolerance because of your weight. You KNOW when someone is treating you "differently" regardless of how subtle the gesture. Then, they would feign innocence or use the "I have a fat friend" cop out. No I am not "paranoid" or a "conspiracy theorist." The same was said of civil rights workers (strange fruit was a figment of their imagination I guess). It is what it is. I applaud Obama for remaining dignified and focused as he was name called in a public forum . I wonder how he learned that life skill? Experience, perhaps? I throw down the gauntlet to anyone that begs to differ. As we say where I am from ,"Republicans there's no future in your frontin'!" You are the ones that are truly scary.

  13. What are you eating on your soft foods diet? How much are you eating?
  14. Angel- I wish I could get a fill as soon as you . Are you feeling restriction? How can you tell. I am so trying to learn this band. I am trying new foods but I am scared at the same time . I am really liking chicken salad because it is soft. How is it going for you?
  15. alright! Your date will be here before you know it! I know how excited you must feel! Keep us posted!
  16. You have slipped a little but you haven't fallen. In past diet attempts, if I slipped I would continue to sabotage my diet by not starting over. I am determined that if I slip now I will pick myself Right back up. All is not lost girlfriend, pick up and start again tomorrow. We are all behind you !
  17. congrats girl keep us updated on your healing and way to go on your weightloss
  18. I thought realize only came in 9cc
  19. I will be saying a little prayer. Don't forget to check in when you feel up to it.
  20. Oh honey, I am so sorry to hear that. I have been down that road before so I OVERSTAND your pain but ir does get better. Get healthy and stay positive.
  21. I am so jealous and I really don't have a jealous bone in my body! I have the realize band (9cc) which is installed empty. I don't get my first fill until Oct.22 which is 6 weeks post op. That's my doc's requirement. It's so weird because I feel like I am flying solo even though there is suppose to be some restriction just because the band is there but I have these eating restrictions. I am still trying to figure it all out.
  22. I think that this may be just what I need. Are there any risks or cons?
  23. I have the realize. It is installed without fluid so I have to wait until 10/22 for a fill. I am suppose to have a little restriction just because the band is there, but I can't really tell. I start mushies tomorrow for two weeks. Since I am doing most of the work on my own until the first fill, I am trying to follow my post op diet. I lost 11 lbs by day 8 after surgery and I am still there. But that's OK I guess.
