Hey, your going to do great.A whole new you.I do not like having surgery either. But somethings we gatta do to get healthy.Consider this a special gift from GOD. My surgery is the 30th.

They told me the same thing BUT THEY COVERED IT.What BCBS do you have?My BMI is 35.6 I am diabetic. Find out what they reqiuire for gastric bypass approvel. My requires several attemps to lose weight.Six months of doctor supervised nutrition counseling and a Pysc evaluation. Go ahead and see your lapband doctor.Do this and apply they will turn you down. Then call and ask for a manager.I did this and I did not even have to file a appeal.They had a meeting and saw that other BCBS were covering it .The worst that can happen is that you have done everything that they ask for gastric bypass.You could do that only as a last resort.Good luck

I am off work for the winter and I have to face cleaning out my pantry and freezers getting ready for deer season. I do not know how I managed to buy so much food.I think I have a problem to.

Best of luck to you. I was going to have my surgery Nov 2nd but it has been changed to Nov 30th. Im sure you will do great.What is your pre-surgery diet? I was just told to have cream soup the day before surgery nothing heavy.Keep us posted on your progress.

I am still trying to get my daughter approved. She is 17 and 254 lbs. I was so in hopes that we could go together.I postponed my surgery giving us more time to get her approved. But the insurance company is taking there time.They told me two weeks it would have been two weeks Friday. Now they are saying 14 business days. Maybe we will find out Thursday. I fear it will be a turn down because see will not be eighteen till Dec 24th.They turned me down the first time said they did not cover lapband at all. BUT THEY DID HEHE Because she has seisures I am nervous for her to have surgery and it is because of her weight that she has the seisures. She cannot exercise she has had them when she works out and blood work being done.We have been in nutritional couseling for the last year. I hope they can give her meds during surgery so she will not have any problems. My little homecoming duchess. I am so proud of her.She is such a great young lady.

I guess I never noticed till I started battling with smoking and other issues before my surgery. I REWARD MY SELF FOR A JOB WELL DONE.When I finish washing dishes.I notice I want a smoke.I made the bed I want a smoke. I never noticed that I reward myself. I am cutting straws and sticking them between my fingers when I drive because I drive and smoke. I have not quit all the way but I am down to about four a day.My husband is trying to quit also. Talk about fighting like cats and dogs. Yesterday he threw a loaf of bread at me.

I would go to subway and get the 12 inch. I would have them wrap it in singles. Cheaper to by the 12 inch than two singles.I would eat 1/2 before I got back to work. So when lunch came around 30 min later I was only eating a 6 inch subway.Want some Chips Linda???? They ask???? No thank's this is more than enough. Yeah right

My daughters has been lost twice.Call and make sure they got it. Insurance companies are famous for losing paperwork.Send send and resend if you have to. Good luck to you. It took two weeks to find out for me.I called everyday.I was turned down. So I called and talked to a manager and she got me approved the next week.
