Well my stuff was sent off today...

My letter of medical necessity and request for the lap band was sent to Anthem today. I am praying that they do not give me any trouble, but I am prepared for a fight! We will see my dr said to call Anthem in 2 weeks if we dont hear anything by them-- keep bugging them! Jill

My daughters has been lost twice.Call and make sure they got it. Insurance companies are famous for losing paperwork.Send send and resend if you have to.

Good luck to you. It took two weeks to find out for me.I called everyday.I was turned down. So I called and talked to a manager and she got me approved the next week.

Definitely follow up. I had to have my docs re-sent. Then, of course, I was denied. Apparently, I am too fat for weight loss surgery. (only blue cross!!). Anyway, there are several insurance appeal letters available for your review and plagarism if you need them.
