I was told 8 ounces I have the inamed 4 cc band.

It has been 19 days since surgery and I weigh 197 this band is awsome.We had our family Christmas yesterday and I tryed several outfits from my closet. TOOOOOO BIGGGGG.Thank you God.The most awsome thing is I am down from 65 units of insulin to 10.I love my band.This band has probably saved my life. I was becoming brittle before I found the ambertose that held me till surgery. After 19 years of diabeties I had diabetic retonopithy and neropthy ( pardon my spelling).I had to have my kidneys checked every three months. I feel great and my blood sugars are Awsome.I want to get out and walk so I can see my scales each morning go down down down.I have always been large but my belly was a lot bigger than it should have been for my size.Weighing 218 I was in a 42 and it was tight in the stomach. The legs in the pants were to big but I needed that size because of my belly.Saturday I actually bought just a extra large off the rack rather that a 2x. The first thing that went was the double chin and now my belly is melting away. Friends Thank you for supporting me when I almost backed out.I do not think I would of had the surgery without your support.

I walked and walked but it did not help with the shouder pain.It was awful.I have had five surgeries and that was the first time I ever had shoulder pain like that.I got a little red pillow at walmart that had a massager in it it did help. I thank God I had it.

Mine is to get off my but walk and become a lot more active.Work the band and by next year be at 135lbs.

If I woke up in sugery i would not be worried about my piercing.I would freak out I think. Any how welcome new member. Remember baby steps the first few days.

My doctor said Wellbutin is the only antidepresent that will not make you put on weight. Is this right?Can I take wellbutrin with the Band??????Im not doing very well on my smoking and I would like to get back on it.

I went with my husband to eat catfish.I got to use my card for child size portions.I got my plate and there was a piece of grilled fish( tiny) and beans they let me have beans because I could not eat the fries . He is sitting there with four pieces of fried catfish, beans, hush puppies and french fries.So I looked at my plate and then his and I gripped him out for not ordering a baked potatoe instead of french fries so we could share it. I almost cried. Im so bad.It was alot harder than I thought.I tried to explain how hard it is and I told him I am not ready for this yet. Lets wait a while before we do it again.He understood I hope. I feel bad for being such a B.

Well im down to 200 . If I get naked. Do I dare to try to fit in my smaller pants. YES I have dropped a pants size too. I am now out of my fat pants.Kackies with a strech band.Strech slacks. They were getting saggy in the front belly area.So under the bed I have a box of blue jeans size 40 and I have not been able to where them in two years. I had at least 7 pairs. They still look new so I put them away in hope I would get back in then.I DID. Back in the jeans and boots again. The old new me.Out of the strechy grandma stuff. Even though I am a grandma now does not mean I have to look like one.It was getting to the point that was all I could find in the bigger sizes looked like my mother would wear.Cant wait till I get in a 14 and can find some really cute stuff. Hey im only 42.LOL

Mini goals Get off insulin. Get to 199 Get in a size 18 Have some come up and say OMG you lost weight.

I was told no drink 30 min prior and 1 hour after.It washes the food down and you will get hungry faster.

I had lapband Dec 1st. I was debating on having gastric bypass but I was afaid of it.The man at the hopspital was up and talking after the surgery and then he died in the room next to me. Im sure glad I did not have it. I will take my band and lose my pound or two a week.It is not worth the risk of gastic bypass.

I went threw the same thing.I cryed before my surgery it is all a bit overwheming.He gave me something to calm me down.I was scared not so much if the surgery but the changes in my life.I have been banded for two weeks now.I have lost 16lbs. I have gone from 65 units of insulin to 10. What if I fail? What if I do not lose weight?Well after a few bight I am full and I do not want anymore it is amazing.I do not nibble and I used to be a nibbler.Nervous eater.I do not miss the food. I cant wait to get on the scales in the morning.It is like magic. Whis I would have done this years ago.You will do great.

I sent mine certified mail Faxed twice and still lost Check to see if it made it from the person that recieved to the right department. They are famous for not getting things. Find out and write the name of the person that recieved any documentation.I wrote down everyone I talked to and what about.

We are in the works of having a get together in Shreveport/Bossier.A LBT weekend getaway. Just in the talking stages and checking to see if there would be enough interest.

Check with other doctors it is not to late.Do not give up.Were rooting for you.

Mine is about Mo Bandy. The Mo I work my band the better I lose.

I buy the swim suit with a skirt on them. I am small everwhere else but my belly. I have had many surgeries on my stomach area.The fat seemed to settle all there.But I look better in a skirted swimsuit.

I am and I am thinking it is the best time to quit when you cannot gain weight.What if we have to have other surgeries.I had almost quit on Welbutrin and patches before my surgery but two weeks before I had to quit taking the meds(doctors ordersr to stop alot of my meds). If were going to try to lose weight to get healthy why not quit smoking to get healthy too.I used to run track and I loved it I want to run again. I do not want to get winded and tired.I need to be able to exercise to get this weight off and keep it off. I have only been banded two weeks but I cannot imagine that it would be good for our band.I have had no problems with reflux yet. I have cut down alot and I plan on getting back on the patch as soon as he will let me.I have gone from 65 units of insulin to ten doctor said I will be off insulin all together soon.Im gonna get healthy how about you?
