If I were to show you my after pix, you would run for the hills and never come back,,,hehehehe I actually had a wound seperation issue, that took 4 months to heal, and was left with a ugly butt like scar from my belly button down to the cooie and over to my right hip, So this [past May 5th I went back in for a revision and he basically did a new tummy tuck from the belly button down on me, and I am happy ro say I have the belly I love now. I am diabetic and from what I have researched and been told by my Drs that necrosis is more likely in diabetics. BUT it was a chance I was willing to take. My upper belly was as big as my lower belly, I carried most of my weight in the mid section. I say go with your heart, do what is going to make you happy. If you decide to go ahead with it, go to at least 3 consultaions and compare notes. I actually went to a Dr in Bev Hills becasue he specializes in weight loss patients, and he was only $1,500 more then a local Dr I really really really liked, But didn't go with him becasue he isnt PS Board certified. when I asked him why not, he told me he was TOO BuSY to go take the test.. Uhmmmm Bye Bye and I walked out his door. He was a nice guy also, really liked him. But the Dr I went with I like him also, great PS. Again go with what makes you feel good..... My hubby, he didn't care one way or the otherif I had PS, Sure he LOVEs my new flat tummy and perky taa taas, But I met him when I was heavy and he loved me then, so this was MY decision and We are both very happy with the results now.

Heck no your not too old!!! I was 43 and 44 when I had my PS. I had been overwight a long long time, lose gain lose gain. So I was left with a great big belly, actually top and bottom flabby bellies and no matter how much weight I lose/lost they werent going away. Could I have just lived with it, sure becasue my health has greatly improved and that was the reason for the weight loss, But was I happy, No I hated that hangy skin. and my poor breasts well they were just deflated balloons that I stuffed into a padded bra everyday. So I choose the have PS, and extended TT with Anchor cut, and breat implants with a small cresent lift. Am I happier, YOU bet I am, I have NEVER ever had a flat tummy till now!!! Its so sureal to look down and see my cookie,,,hehehhehe I can't explain it, But it has been worth every penny we paid and will be paying for the next 2 years. I was self pay and it's ok. Sure I would have loved for my insurance company to help out, But when we submitted and were denied, I appealed and denied again. It's ok tho, I look at it this way, The insurance CO. DIDN'T make me get fat, I did it to myself I ruined my skin and if they say no, then I have to accept it, and find my own way to help myself. (Just my own view on this) I would do it again in a heartbeat!!! Anyways, NO your not too old!!! Kelly
  4. Congratulations and welcome to the flatlands!!! I am 7 months out from my tummy tuck, and love it more each and everyday!!! Glad your having an easy recovery, Just don't overdo it becasue you feel great, take it easy and let your body heal!!
  5. I ended up with a huge wound seperation that took over 4 months to close, so 2 times a day we had to pack with gauze and cover with pads and tape, I ended up with blisters from all the tape, UNTILL I switched to a paper tape, I found it at target and walgreens, and sav-on. I believe almost any store sells it near the band aids. I also would wear my binder over a long soft t-shirt to keep the itching and aggravation to my skin down. Good luck!!
  6. WOW Congratulations on your amazzing weight loss in just under a year!!! :thumbup:You rock!!!! And as Sue said above, the PS will be the icing on the cake!!!
  7. I had an extended tummy tuck with anchor cut, also silione breast implants, and a small cresent lift. 8 hours of surgery, OR, and anstesthia, 1 night in hospital $17,000. No lipo tho. Just the tummy tuck alone would have been 10,000 with all fees listed above.

Hi, I had my extended Anchor cut tummy tuck last Oct, and had a really bad wound sepration from the belly button down to the top of my cookie, and over to my right hip, turned into a great big open thing, not a [pretty sight, had to be packed 2 times a day with guaze and saline and cream. it took 4 months to close up. I was left with a ugly butt like scar on my tummy from the way it heal;ed. so I had my revision done May 5th to correct this. He basically did another tummy tuck, this time from the belly button only down. also did a breast lift while I was under. So one month out and I feel so much better, I just need to get my azz into the gym. No more excuses!!! You have done an amazing job with your weight loss!!!!
  9. Oh My that cake sounds divine!!

Hey TX, glad to hear from you!!! Congratulations 115 down is a major accomplishment!!! I am stuck at 175 now for forever it seems. I can't lose anything, at least I'm not gaining I say. Now that I have recovered from my revision surgery I can step up my exercise and try and lose some more. Again congrats on 115 lost!!!!
  11. Sorry it took so long to post, been a little emotional the past few weeks, Dr said my hormones are out of whack, Weepy crying one mimute, fine the next. this too shall pass. And about the nips, thats what I am hoping, Dr and hubnbby tell me not to worry about it, but I do anyways. I am super excited that I now have the flat tummy I wanted. I had NO wound issues this time that I was worried about. I just have this dang swelling going on, I didnt have it the 1st time, so I wasnt prepared for it. Makes a 105 day even hotter wearing a binder or garment.. WOHOOOO fun times. Well I am so over being on this roller coaster, I just want to be normal again,,,, wait, normal, whats that,,,hehehe
  14. OK so I am just about 1 month out from revision. tummy looks great, I am happy with it finally. Breasts well I wish I wouldn't have done the lift this time as I'm not liking the way the nipples feel, kinda like a button I guess on a couch sewed on... PS says it will get better and back to normal, I sure hope so.... This time around I have awful swelling, the first time, I didn't swell much at all, but this time, swell hell!!!!!! 17. May 19) - Nadya Suleman, the so-called "octomom," is hospitalized after undergoing a second surgery within four days, according to Radaronline.com. Suleman, a single mother of 14 children -- including octuplets born in January -- underwent her first operation last week to have fibroid tumors removed, a procedure that will require doctors to take out about half of her uterus. However, complications with excessive bleeding forced doctors to suspend surgery at that time. On Monday, doctors at a hospital in Bellflower, Calif., performed a second surgery to finish removing the tumors. Her attorney said the procedure went well and that Suleman is recovering. 19. Juli, You look gorgeous!!! Congratulations on your graduation!!! I would say this has been a great year for you!! Go out and celebrate your achievments!!!!!!
  20. Have you checked out a vertical Sleeve. I have been reading alot on them lately. wish I would have had this option before I decided on my band I might have gotten a sleeve instead. Sory your having band issues.
  21. I had my revision on May 5th. what was supposed to be a 1 hour surgery turned into 3.5 hours. He was revising my tummy tuck from Oct that I had severe wound seperation issues with and was left with a big chuck of scar tissue from under my belly button to the top of my mons and extending along over to my right hip. We also decided to go ahead and do a small breast lift to both breast since he was going to be releasing some scar tissue in them also. He basically gave me a whole new TT without any muscle tightning, I have a new smaller belly button and so far everything looks wonderful!!!! I have 1 drain and I was hoping to get it removed yesterday but it is still putting out more then he would like so 1 more week with this pain in the cookie drain. My breasts hurt more then anything else this time around, we dont see any wound problems and are keeping our fingers crossed we wont. Thanks everyone for following my journey.
  22. Good luck with your surgery tomorrow!! When you wake up it's the begining of a whole new life!!!
  23. Look out Kats in the mood to ride!!!!
  24. Hey Hollyberries, great to hear from you. Sorry your having probs with your band. Have you researched the vertical sleeve?? I know theres a thread on the board here about it. and a few ladies that have gone from band to sleeve and they love it. They seem to have none of the issues banded peeps have. might be something to look into. Momto1, surgery went well, it was only supposeds to be 1 hour, but took almost 3.5 hours. He had to cut out alot of scar tissue that formed from my wound seperation and so he essetually (sp) did a whole new tummy tuck on me. He also did a cresent breast lift on both breasts and took out some scar tissue from them and more scar tissue around my right side that also had wound seperation. I only have 1 drain this time. The pain isnt as bad as the first time, but stillhurts like hell!!! I really dont think I could ever gop thru with another PS, I will just learn to live with my wobbly arms and fat thighs!! I havent seem my tummy yet, maybe tonight when hubby gets home we can take the binder offf and see how it looks. Take care all.c
  25. Congratulations on your surgery!~!!!!!
