  1. I agree wth above posters. If you dont really know you probably arent there. I kept asking the same questions but once I reached it, I knew. Good Luck
  2. With all these suggestions to change my name I have been trying to think of sometihng more appropriate and I cam up with - Saggybellykellie haha what do you think? It is certainly more appropriate
  3. Lisa, I just seen your updated pic and you look awesome..you have lost so much weight. I think maybe about 190lbs. My goal is 170lbs and I am 5"6....but I also think that when you feel comfortable with what you are is when you will know you are at the right weight...but also have mini goals along the way to make it easier. Hugs
  4. Thanks for the compliments, I really couldnt see the weight I had lost till I put them pants on. It puts it all into perspective....I will keep these pants as a reminder just how big I was. Love you guys.
  5. The other night when we were going out I was looking for something to wear and found a pair of pants that I hadnt worn since the week before banding and they were tight....sooooo these pics are of me with those pants on....it made my day!!!! BTW the one with 2 ppl is my mum and I in the pants together. I love my band!!!! :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:
  6. I am really sorry for what you are going through. I cant begin to imagine. I can only reiterate what has been said. We got this band because after years of trying we couldnt do it ourselves. The band basically controls how much we eat. I think daily if it wasnt for the band I know I would go back to eating how I was. I pray everyday that my band will stay in forever. Dont feel bad that you are eating more now, of course you are going to...you dont have that "stop". One day at a time and one meal at a time. We are here for you.
  7. Wow that is so awesome WTG!!!
  8. Accountability - Yes plz. Can someone come here and get rid of this chocolate. Chocolate bars, choc icecream, choc biscuits...its that time of the month and I crave it sooo bad. As for exercise, my body shows too well I havent exercised enough while losing this weight. I will start to exercise, its 1am her enow so tomorrow bring it on. Just wanted to mention deLarla I see those numbers rising on lbs lost, you are doing awesome with no band...WTG!!
  9. Anyone here understand this. I am still not over the fact that mine is so high, even after losing so much weight it hasnt really dropped. Can anyone tell me if huge amounts of excess skin would make a difference and how does the scale tell how much it really is?? Blahhhh:rolleyes:
  10. I would have to think to endorse and say you lose weight from Jenny Craig if you actually arent would be illegal is someway wouldnt it? As for Oprah I think she looks great for her age because - for a start she is rich and they all look good, she hasnt had kids, she is dark, most dark women I see hold their age great and again her weight fluctuates too much to have a band. When you can afford to have every meal made and put in front of you and a personal trainer to drag your lazy butt up everyday that is why you lose weight, everyone has their own opinion but I just dont think Oprah would hide it. Back to Kristie, I really think it would be illegal is someway to get on worldwide TV and claim you have lost weight eating Jenny Craig food if you had had WLS, and I really cant see Jenny Craig risking that.
  11. I have been in contact with a surgeon for a few months. I decided to ring and make an appointment the other day and the person I had been talking to asked me indepth questions about my weight goals etc. I told her I have 9kgs to go before my surgeons final goal for me but 19kgs before my personal goal. She said she didnt think he would do it with that much still to lose and asked me to send pics of my tummy. I sent them and she wrote back telling me that most of my tummy was loose skin and would probably be able to be done. I have discussed a breat lift and lipo on my back rolls as well. They know my wedding is in September this year and I would like to be fully recovered by then. They said if all goes well I will have it done around mid February. They also perform lipo on the tummy as part of the tummy tuck. Has anyone had a TT and lost weight after, I am thinking if they tighten the tummy muscles why cant you workout and tighten the skin as you lose more? I would also like to know if anyone has had lipo on their back before. I know it is alot to have done once but Id like to just have it all over and done with and thats it. Has anyone had a TT and a breat lift at the same time. I am wondering about pain levels and recovery time. Thanks for any help/suggestions.
  12. It would really suprise me to find out if she had. I dont think she would hide it, she doesnt seem to be the type. Besides I dont think she can go to the loo without the press knowing about it.
  13. As of this morning I am in ONEderland!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I first joined here I never really used pounds, because I am in Aussie we use kgs. Slowly though all my goals have changed to things to do with pounds. The last couple of months I really have been concentrating on getting into ONEderland. Now Im there it feels soooooo good.
  14. I put on about 2 lbs also and I have good restriction. The difference being before it would have been more like 10 lbs and a downward spiral to overeating because Id already put on so much weight anyway. Now I just go back to the way I was before Chrissy and take it off again. Dont worry it happens to most of us, the thing is now we have a band we just move on the next day
  15. I have the VG band also and I had some restriction after the 1st fill which went. I have now had 9 fills and am at 9.6mls and I have restriction, some days more than others, but I really wouldnt be looking at having another fill for a while because I think that would make me too tight. Dont give up it can be a long process to get the right restriction but it will happen
  16. Awwwww, wow guys thanks so much for that. I felt so great coming on and seeing that. Say Hello to "30". I feel so old.
  17. Its just turned midnight here and I wasnt drinking, but when the clock struck 12 and the fireworks went off I had a vodka cruiser just for you. After not drinking for so long I was feeling quite tipsy after it too. It is now 2006 here...Happy New Year!!!!
  18. I posted the same time and just seen a month of clear fluids also. I too was only on clear fluids the day after surgery, then I was on full liquids for a week or so then mushies. By week 3 I was on solids...it must be different over here. We all have to go by what our own Dr says, each one is different.
  19. I am in Australia and the protein shake wasnt really pushed to me either. By both the Dr and dietician it was really only necessary during the liquid stage after that its not mentioned. I have not had a protein shake since a couple of weeks after surgery. I try and get my protein from solid food, it works most days.
  20. Yep, I was going so well till I tried a little ham.
  21. I am exactly the same, sometimes I dont even feel as if I have a band when it is that time of the month. I am just glad it is only 1 week.
  22. I am on Effexor from depression which started from having a stillborn son. I have tried several times at getting off but I literally think it is goin got be impossible. It has worked wonders for me though, even though I have had weight gain from it and troubles getting off I would do it again for how much it improved me.
  23. You must get rid of the Helicobacter. I had it before surgery and had to take antibiotics as be re tested. They will not do the surgery if you still have it. Also do a google search, left untreated it can lead to stomach cancer later on.
  24. Lisa, I am so sorry this has happened. I really do believe that we know our bodies best and you proved that with your icky feeling being right. You will be in my thoughts for a quick recovery. Hugs
  25. Hi How is everyone going. I am still trodding along slowly. I am down 59lbs now. I need to bump the exercise up a bit and add a bit more water...these things will come into my new years resolution Hows everyone else going??
