  1. Im doing a preop diet also. Im on day 10 of the diet, and have lost 11 lbs. I bet you can do it too. I personally think that two weeks is too long, let alone 16 days. Best wishes!
  2. Maybe try some mild arm exercise with hand weights- start with just 2-5lbs. Thas what I did after a total knee replacement. Good luck!

  7. I'd say you really need to push the fluids. Maybe even go in to an urgent care and get some IV hydration. You'll feel much better! Good luck!

  10. I have medicare and they wont cover it. im self pay and will have surgery on 12/26 My hospital told me that medicare WILL pay if you go to a Center of Excellence. Try to find one of those. Hope this helps.

  12. I also drink the ready-to-drink premier shakes from Costco. the only kind i like unless i add peanut butter or fruit to a blended shake. Good luck!

  15. I got the chewable solutron vitamins from GNC as well as calcium chews and biotin. The B-12 i got from my docs office. Best wishes!
  16. I have 2 suggestions. My nut had me take up a couple of new hobbies to keep the munchies at bay. Ive been practicing playing the guitar and knitting. This helps alot. I also see a therapist that specializes in eating disorders and food issues. This has been a huge blessing. Best wishes to you!

  21. When I am feeling uneasy about the surgery, I come to this website. I read and respond to posts and that helps. What helps me the most is to stop by the chat room. Sometimes I get the support i need. Other times I get to support other and that helps the most. Good luck!!
  22. Is it true that we should drink protein shakes within 20 minutes of mixing them. Has anyone else heard this?
