12/26 surgery but getting sick!

Ok, so I'm set for Wed to have the procedure. But as of last night I started getting a sore throat. Switch to 5am and it's worse and still here!!!! I took Tylenol, not helping! What should I do? I don't want surgery to be rescheduled!!!!!

If you are running a temp or have been feeling achy or hot flashes or chills you need to inform your Dr. sooner than later. He may be able to move you to another date. Irregardless of scheduling you could be putting yourself in harms if you do not infom your Dr.

Alka selzer makes this "tea" like therapy. It's like theraflu. It is awesome. Usually when I start feeling a scratch, I start taking vitamin c, drinking orange and grapefruit juice or those c-monsters by odwalla! But, you definitely don't want to have surgery when your body is in that weakened/vulnerable state.

Thanks everyone, so far no aches just a sore throat, but it's the kind that doesn't just seem scratchy. I'm going to go to an medi center soon and see what they say. But I will contact the surgeon either way. Thx everyone!!!

Be sure to keep us updated. Will be looking to see if you were able to recover in time (you should with 4 days to go unless you have a flu)

Wow you guys are simply the best!!! Ok not exactly sure if I have a sinus thing or strep etc but I explained to the doctor at the medi center about my upcoming surgery. Long story short she wanted to get me on zpac 5 day antibiotic to be proactive! So other than feeling weak and lazy I'm just Chillen in bed and using the other home remedies you guys suggested!

Thx again seriously!!
