  11. Check out this link for yummy Sassy Water you can make at home. http://www.prevention.com/weight-loss/flat-belly-diet/flat-belly-diet-and-sassy-water
  12. I dont have a card or an ID bracelet that says i have had a VSG. Do you? Should I? Where did you get it? What kind do you have and is it for emergencies only? If you use a card at an eating establishment-- which ones are the most helpful?
  13. I love decaf tea-- all kinds. It goes down easy and keeps me warmed up. Hot chocolate is also good (sugar free). Popsicles help to get some fluids in. I also like fat free milk (also good for protein). Vitamin water.
  14. At 6 weeks post op I had lost about that much weight. I am 3 months out and have lost 41lbs. The lower the BMI, the slower the weight loss, I've also heard. Slow and steady wins the race, right? Youre ok...we got this!
  15. Hey Russell, saw your status update. great job on the weight loss!! Are you on an acid reducer?
  16. I do eat a small portion of a lean cuisine or weight watchers occasionally. Lean cuisine and weight watchers seem to have much more carbs than say Atkins. Atkins is much higher in Protein, but has more fat--they are also expensive (but good). Also, i cant really tolerate chicken or Pasta, so that doesn't leave many choices for lean cuisine and weight watchers.
  17. From what i understand from my nutritionist, we are encouraged to avoid anything that has carbonation in it. Hope this helps you.
  18. I'm down for that? Something on the westside? Any afternoon is good with me.
  19. Congrats!!!!! Keep up the good work!
  20. I take prilosec (omeprazole) 2x/day, and i still get heartburn sometimes. I never had that problem before surgery. I hope it goes away. I am 2 1/2 months post op.
  21. I completely agree with missmeow. I couldnt say it better myself
  22. Hang in there dixiejuju! I get disappointed too. but the scale is still moving down. I cant eat near as much as i used to. We will get there.
  23. I had surgery a week after you and have lost 39 lbs. i am following the diet and exercising. I have a low BMI. Maybe that is why the weight loss has been slow. As long as the scale is moving i have been trying to stay positive. My recommendation is to take some pics and post them. let others tell you how great you are doing. this really helped me. Good luck!!
  24. Could be a stricture. But i think they would have seen it on the endoscopy. Tell your doctor again.
