  1. I agree in prayer that you will be healthy and happy, And that you wont have to be operated on again. God bless!
  2. You are a wonderful inspiration. I have enjoyed getting to know you.
  3. Today I HAVE to go to the DMV and I am dreading it. It's the whole driver's license photo thing. I am at my heaviest right now and I don't want my picture taken today. In fact, I dont want any pictures taken of me, period. I want to wait until 1 year after surgery. Help! How do I work up the gumption to go do this? I have put this off for over a week and now my license has lapsed. This is getting serious!

I have a free membership to Curves, and yet I still lack the motivation to get there very often. Good for you. You are an inspiration!
  5. Just my opinion- go in June, when you have more time to heal
  6. Well, welcome. Hope to see you in the chat room.
  7. I'm no expert, but I think it should be safe. People fly back from Mexico post-op everyday. They are like 4 days post op. Hope this helps to reassure you.
  8. In the chat room we discuss various topics, both pre-op and post-op. Sometimes we socialize and get a bit more personal. Some of stay in the chat for hours. Others- just pop in to ask a question. We get lots of newbies and members who are looking for information and support. Being in the chat is both helpful and entertaining. It's nice to be "a part of". Come experience it. I welcome you.
  9. I just love this forum and chat room. I have found friends and comrades where I least expected to find them. I have stayed up late at night to chat when I am feeling low, or just cant sleep, or when someone else needs a friend or information. I have laughed out loud at our conversations in the chat room. In the chat room and from the posts, I have learned what to expect and not expect from this surgery. Most of all I have found a place where I belong- A place where I can be heard. And that is a special thing, indeed. Thank you for walking this path with me. I hope we meet along the way. See you in the chat!

Amazing! Congratulations! I can't wait to experience what you are feeling.
  11. You are not alone in your frustration and anxiety. I am jumping thru those same hoops. For example, why do I have to have a psych eval when I already have a shrink that cleared me for surgery????? Just keep jumping
  12. I do worry about lifestyle changes. For example, my husband and I like to travel and i'm thinking about how that will be affected by these lifestyle changes. But i know that lots of things will change for the better- like tying my darn shoes with ease! Lol. Good luck with your surgery.
  13. Good to be up and moving. And of course, take those pain meds. Do you have GasX strips? Maybe try those. Congrats on your surgery and good luck
  14. Same with pre op. For example, some doc's want a 2 week pre-op diet, some 1 week, some even days. Differences like this could drive a person crazy.
  15. Maybe its you gall bladder. I would get it checked out ASAP. Good luck!
  16. Traci, I am so sorry to hear of this. Thank God everything worked out OK. Have a good recovery. See you in the chat room!
  17. Thanks for the inspiration!!
  18. I am still pre-op, but I have a mirena IUD also. I will be interested to see how it goes. Thanks for bringing this to my attention
  19. Well, it's a good thing that they do those EKGs. Its important that you have a safe surgery. But try to relax. EKGs come back abnormal all the time and most of them are benign. Best of luck to you!
