  1. I was banded the 22nd, so I know your pain. I am for the most part doing well. I am really trying to change. I start with the protiens and if I decide to eat something it is a bite and I leave it at that. I think as long as youre giving your bod what it needs your good. This is life long so if an occas. wafer is what you want and its 1 or2 and not a box and everything else is a good choice you will suceed. Hang in there. Life is trial and error that is how we learn. Good Luck
  2. I swear last night I was almost asleep I woke up with the feeling that I felt something snap. I am hoping it was all in my head. Did you feel anything like that? I am sorry you have to deal with this. I hope it gets better. It really stinks to have to have surgery again. Take care.
  3. That is so funny you ask that. The night before surgery my husband who works in surgery, I work in labor and delivery. So. both in the medical field, so I know the answer. I asked him am I going to be able to wear my underwear? HE SAYS THATS IT CANCEL THE SURGERY IF THAT IS WHAT YOURE SO WORRIED ABOUT. Needless to say I didnt and I was naked under my gown.
  4. I was the 22nd also. I am down 17 lbs. I have tryed scrambled eggs an d a few other things, I hope I am doing things right. I see dr. on Friday. port site still sore.
  5. I am doing ok. Port site still hurts some. Is any one having a gassy feeling at all times? I also am having trouble with either being constipated or diarreha, anyone else? I know its gross just want to know if its normal, I am 2 weeks out.
  6. My Dr told me that before the fills you dont have restrictions. The band is just there its not working. He said the lig stage and small ammounts is to let the band heal in the correct place. Once you get a fill is when you will start feeling full from the band.
  7. Thanks red tulips, I figured it was but doesnt hurt to ask. I love this site because we are all going throught he same things.
  8. I may have messedup today, I was reading through my post op instructions today and in one spot it said I cold eat pureed food. I pureed chick pees with a little broth it was not runny. I ate it then I looked at my post paper again and it said full liquids. It says two different things. My stomach feels so full. I probably ate 1/4 -1/2 cup.. Do you think I did damage? I have lost 12 lss since the preop diet of low carbs. 6 ls being the last 5 days which is exciting. My port site still hurts its not infected though. Any one else have this still?
  9. I was banded on the 22nd. I still have port pain. Is it normal?
  10. My pain today is also pulling at the port site. I do have gas in my stomach it feels really bloated. I also am starting my period so I have the discomfort of that. My husband has been very supportive. The kids are getting on my nerves a little. I am trying. I have drank today a few sps of watered down juice and 4 oz. cream chick soup blended up. I just feel so bloated when I do that I dont think I am drinking enough. I am thinking of using a med cup and make sure i take an ounce in an hour. All in all I feel ok. Taking chewable vitamins. I just hope I am doing everything right. Talk to you soon. I am happy to find people doing what I am doing now it helps to reassure myself. Your right thr dr dont tell us much. I am a nurse and I still have alot of questions.
  11. I was banded on the 22nd also. I have pain at the port site and some bruising. I get gas pain also. My postop instructions were clear liquids the first couple days then cream ed stuff with no pieces. I havnt really been hungry yet. How much are we supposed to take in at a time. I am confused with my post op instructions
  12. I was banded on the 22 of this month. My first nurse back to the room preop says you dont look big enough for this surgery. The next day another staff member said it. The next day I went to xray and the tech says to me we were talking and you dont look big enough to have this done. Finally instaed of ignoring it, I blurt out my weight and say I am 100 lbs over weight. No one said anything else. I wanted to say whats it of your business.
  13. I had my surgery on Tue. I was scared. Now, I am glad it is over. I am just sipping on liquids. The fierst day was worst. I was nauseated and in pain. eVERYDAY GETS BETTER THOUGH.
