I was also banded 1/22. i was doing fine for 1st 5 days. past 3 days i have been having excrutiating headaches and heartburn.... i actually had to go to ER yesterday due to headache. Ended up with dry heaves. Let me tell you they hurt!... i wnt to surgeon today and he says that he still thinks i am swollen in the esophagus and dehydrated. i put my self back on clear liquids today but still hve had dry heaves.... Dr gave me compizine ( anti nausea meds ) doing to see gastroenterologist tomorrow

! hopefully he can do something with heartburn and/or esophagus swelling or spasms.

I was banded on Jan 21.... Clear for like 5days and I was STARVING! Called the DOC. Got advanced to FULLs.... That did well for a bit. SUppose to move to baby food this weekend... but have you tasted that crap... YUCK-O-RAMA!!! I ate a scrabbled egg and grits Not a lot.. just a taste... DOnt knwo if it was the right thing to do, but I am not hungery and I am not light headed anymore.. :-)

Hi all...I haven't posted here since pre-op. I had my band on 1/22 also, and I'm doing well. I spent the one night in the hospital, and walked so much I impressed the staff. I spent a lot of the next week sleeping under the influence of liquid vicoden.

I'm still on full liquids, but I'm seeing my surgeon on Thursday and hopefully will be advanced at that point. I don't think he's doing a fill until my 6 week check though....each doc is different, I guess. I'm living on Cappucino flavored Matrix protien shakes. Yum. Although it's getting boring.

And...I'm down 8 lbs the first week and 3 the next...11 so far!!!

I was the 22nd also. I am down 17 lbs. I have tryed scrambled eggs an d a few other things, I hope I am doing things right. I see dr. on Friday. port site still sore.

Hi everybody, I'm a Jan 22 bandster too. :cursing:

Just over 3 weeks out and I am feeling really pretty good. I am seeing the doc for my first fill on the 27th.

I have already been able to fit into some sweaters I had gotten too big for, and I can hardly wait until I am a size down in pants. :biggrin2:

Don't even think about not making it... Just keep going!!! You can do it!!!! I was banded on 1/25..

We all seem to be doing great. I am down to 193 from 235. I know I still have work to do but I am happy with the progress. It is coming off much slower now.
