1. I have a cpap too. I've had it for 5 yrs and I can't sleep without it. I never had a problem with it. I guess I was afraid of dying or having a stroke in my sleep. So I'm nerved up if I don't have....like if I decide to take a little nap.........can't unless I go to bed with the cpap. Today I got a new mask. Actually nose pillows instead of a mask. I'm anxious to try it out.
2. It sounds like surgical pain. Take your pain meds so you can cough and deep breath. Remember they do a lot of poking around in there. It's bound to hurt some.
3. I have never had any pain around mine. I didn't even know where it was until my 4 week check up when I asked. He said it was stitched in place in the muscle. It just never hurt .
4. Did you look at the before and after pics? That alone should help you decide.
5. ...
I live in Baraboo which is close to WI Dells...Somewhat northwest of Madison (about 50 min.) It actuallly hailed that day. But today the sun was out for awhile. I had my surgery in Madison Oct 28. How about you?

6. Good morning from Wi where we finally have some sun today. We have had rain, dense fog, hail, thunder and lightning, and even tonadoes in the past week so this sun is heaven sent. I'm anxiously awaiting for my 2nd fill next tue. Praying for some restriction. I'm just as hungry now as I was before surgery. Wombat, you came so close to making goal. Hope I can do as well.
7. Good morning. I'm so glad people are finding this site that Alex was kind enough to set up for us. Hi Gene. Good to "see" you again. Sad to say I haven't lost anything for a couple months. Get another fill next tue so there is hope.
8. WOW! What an inspiration. You both look sooo gooood!
9. Oh, it's not just a teacher thing I'm a nurse and I feel exactaly the same. And then when I got my first fill, he only put in 1cc and I still have no restriction!
10. How about just getting some frozen meals like South Beach or weight watchers or lean cuseine? Just pop in micro wave.
11. I'm so sorry JC. I don't know what else I can say. My prayers are with you.
12. If you get him out, be sure and get your locks changed. Also take care to change everything that is in both your names. Don't let him do something that will ruin your credit.
13. I'm not even at restriction yet but from all my reading on this board and others, I think you are a little tight and that's not good. Hopefully the more knowledgable will answer.
14. Well Rose. I am 67 and I got the band on Oct 28. Surgery went fine. They didn't seem to think my age was a factor. I weigh 270 after losing 15. I had one fill and didn't get any restriction. Next tue I get another and I sure hope it helps. Medicare payed and AARP ins picked up what medicare didn't . I never saw a bill. I wanted to lose weight because I ache all over, esp knees and feet, I'm short of breath, I need a CPAP at night, I can't even walk my dog! I just want a better quality of life.
15. new easy to find posting spot!
16. If you are 60 or over, come here please. We have a new place tp post!
17. I just tell people that I don't weigh myself.
18. I agree with all the others. The longer you stay, the harder it will be to leave. Go now while things are still relatively untangled. Don't let yourself have a baby with this creep.
19. Oh I hate it too. I sweat, my heart pounds and I get short of breath and think I'm having a heart attach and whatever part of the body I move hurts the next day. Water exercise is do-able but too far away.
20. I hope you use sugar free kool aid. People mix proyien powder in crystal lite so I assume kool aid would work.
21. I have only lost 15 pounds but I think it was mosltly around my waist. It went from 52 to 48. But my big belly and waist has always been my worst problem as far as clothes fitting. It will be interesting to see where I lose if I EVER start.
22. Actually I think the 2006 Oct group choose that name and we are using it too> I'm wondering if our group of 2007 banders should have a new name or does it really matter. It's so easy to find ua now with the new home page. Sharon
23. Hi Bandster , I just read your whole thread today and I feel so bad about all you have gone through. I feel sorry for your brother too and I'm sure I would've made the same mistake and co-signed for him. I can't telll you how many times in my 67 years 'ive sacrificed to help someone else out and got bit in the butt for doing so.....But, you know what, I wouldn't change a thing. That's how I am and I like myself. If he gets his act together, you'll know you helped. About the gas: Be sure you aren't constipated, take gasx or something simular, lay off sugar and artifical sweetners, and make sure you aren't lactose intolerant. The worst thing for me is the sugar alcohols they put in candy etc in place of sugar. Blows me up like a balloon. I wish you luck and hope you feel better by now. Sharon
24. I'm an Oct 07 bandster too and I've only had one fill. It's a little No, you are NOT the biggest failure. I think a lot of the oct bunch are having problems.
25. Thanks for the encouragment. I have about 135 left to lose. Right now I have no restriction and I'm gaining back so I need to know that there are better days ahead. Sharon
