Hi there, I was banded yesterday at 3p.m. so, it has not even been 24 hours since my surgery. So far, i don't have any shoulder pain, but what is killing me is this awful burning sensation in the pit of my tummy whenever I take a breath in. Does anyone know what this is? Is it also gas? It is very painful - and a little on the left side like right below my sternum.

Any insight? Thanks!

Tell your doctor!! That does not sound right. I had shoulder pain, not much pain at site of surgery.

It sounds like surgical pain. Take your pain meds so you can cough and deep breath. Remember they do a lot of poking around in there. It's bound to hurt some.
