My Doctor Is Doing My Referral Now
Continue to speak up for yourself mlm, that is how you will get this done. When my doctor applied to MSI for me at that time they wanted 3 of what they consider serious health issues for me is was Blood pressure and basically just simply over weight so I was denied the first time. Within a year I developed type 2 diabeatis so she reapplied for me and I was accepted . So keep being an advocate for yourself and sadly sometimes we have to push our own family doctors to get this paper work rolling. Good luck.

New/Nouveau!!!Dr. Marc Savoie, Bathurst N.B.
mlm, my own family doctor applied tp MSI for me , not my surgeon, unless something has changed in the past 2 years. There are now 2 doctors in NOva Scotia doing WLS so maybe they have made some changes because of the #'s of people looking to have surgery.

I can eat the same - have I failed?
I agree with the ladies, you have not failed, you are doing great, but it does sound like you need a fill. What does your band hold and how many cc's do you have in it to date? You have to remember this is a process that takes time. I had to be reminded of that regularly, I am 19 months banded , lost 108 and still want to lose about 40 more, it is slow but steady and I have never had a gain, my doctor is very pleased with my progress. Good luck.

Dr. Beausoleil (Moncton N.B.)
Hi everyone, mlm, as you know I have been through the process with MSI, it is no use trying to call them. You need to have your family doctor apply to MSI for you, it is really that simple to start. You need to have a supportive family doctor to get the ball rolling. hi Argon nice to see you on the site again been a while for me as well. I sent you a private message hope you are doing well. Sherry

The dangers of eating to fast
Well folks because of forgetting the rules from time to time I have to have my Band repositioned. It has not slipped but I have developed a pouch above my band, the doctor is not sure entirely why but we suspect it is because of some vomiting due to eating to fast from time to time. So just want to send out a reminder to everyone out there be careful. Cheers and have a great weekend Sherry

Dr. Beausoleil (Moncton N.B.)
Wait time for me with Dr. B was 2 years from the time my name went on his list to surgery day. Not so bad I thought.

Mama, did you try TLBC?

Nova Scotia
When I was having my first consult it was 55 across the board he must have change the banding age with the bmi of 60 or over.

Nova Scotia
Pearl, one thing I forgot to mention is to keep in mind that DR.B does not do WLS on anyone over the age of 55.

Annie, the $4500.00 is well worth it for how this procedure will change your life.
