  1. i'm a newbie but i asked my nut about counting calories...I figured I'd get in the habit and she said do Protein, then veggies, then fruit, then carbs(as if you could at that point) with pying attention to portions and forget the calories. She said the lifestyle change should focus on protein and portions...its 's like her mantra!
  2. We're having crazy cold weather for this time of year...60 degrees;should be about 75. Ill take the dog for a wak and then relax. Take care and keep u p the good work !
  3. I finally found it on my profile page. You have to go all the way to your info and it's on the lower left I think.
  4. Im drinking a lot too. When do you think you'll start buying clothes. Im freaking out because I cant foresee buying new clothes every month...we're not wealthy. I guess Ill try designer consigner shops for good stuff and other consignment shops for others. I have a major problem in that I have a 36 inseam ( I'm 5'10") and buying jeans from goodwill, etc. isn't usually an option. I can't wait until I can buy regular clothes, not plus sizes. I'm tempted to wait to buy clothes until then.
  5. I was on liquids for a week, puree for two, and will be on soft for three to four more
  6. I do 1 cup of black in the am....my nut said she could live with it if she had to!Considering I used to drink 2 pots plus 8-10 diet pepsi a day Im proud of myself!
  7. Ive got a chronic pain problem ....swimming is my sport but until incisions are healed, that's out! So today I walked 3 miles with my dog and did arm curls. I also bought Richard Simmons low impact aerobic and toning DVDs. Hoping i can do those without kicking up the pain. This is a good thread to keep me motivated.
  8. you look great !
  9. Ive had two massages since my surgery on 4/29. once a week sounds good. I cant wait to start buying some new clothes !
  10. Heres my BMI as of today: http://www.tickerfactory.com/weight-loss/wkx6uzU/ 37.5 goal is20. I don't know how to access the BMI ticker on this site. Any help?

  12. Great job!! how are you doing now/
  13. i saw loss after about three days, The best advice Ive gotten is to only weigh twice a week. I was obsessed watching tiny changes that are normal for everyone day by day.
  14. From oconomowoc! Surgery date 4/29/13 at aurora Summit.
  15. I like Unjury ... i just got some flavorless as a gift. but I found most of the bariatric products much cheaper elsewhere online. I really had to research vitamins at amazon to make sure they met requirements, but I saved major money over some of the bariatric sites.
  16. Oconomowoc, Wisconsin...between Milwaukee and Madison
  17. congratulations
  18. Tylenol? Wow you guys have some strict surgeons. I would think that would be totally inadequate.
  19. Drinking Unjury unflavored in Vitamin water with diet v8 splash...I think I have conquered the unbearable protein problem!
  20. I have the exact opposite problem! So many liquids!
  21. I got the best present today. My twin sons (24) gave me my belated Mother's Day presents.... a food processor, a Weight - loss recipes for Life cookbook, and (drumroll) Unjury unflavored protein powder, which I've been wanting to try. My son Charlie actually went to GNC and tried about 6 protein powders to see which one was most palatable....he decided Unjury unflavored in crystal light was best. What great kids! I appreciate their show of support more than the actua gifts!
  22. It's a big step...I was nervous too.mainly about the lifestyle change. The surgery didn't really freak me out. But after almost four weeks...I'm kind of in a groove already....still some days I think about food!
