  4. It will come off. Our bodies are just well, pissed. We have really abused them and now we are basically starving. I know they say patience is a virtue but its very difficult. :-).
  5. Hey guys! Just found this thread. I'm 40 and that was a major factor in me having RNY. Was not going to live the second half of my life like this. Had my surgeries ( and an intestine twist). the week of 11/19 and doing well so far!
  6. My nurses were a life savor!! I was at Magee in Pittsburgh. Wonderful!! You were cracking me up about the gown. The heart monitor kept pulling mine down. I hope I didn't 'boob' anyone. They are probably still in a stupor. And yes the barium is horrid! I had a stricture develop and they were like drink drink. I couldn't drink Water without barfing. I was actually crying. Keep up the good spirits. Everyday gets better and I use them to motivate me when I have an off day. Good luck!!
  7. I give you all so much credit. Every time I see this post I envision my knee caps flying across the room. lol maybe a few pounds from now!! Go girls!!
  8. Lipton has a decaf ice tea too!!
  9. I was tasting hot wing sauce the other day. I still love it and the little bit seemed ok.
  10. Those first pair of pants in a regular size is such a victory! We will get there!!
  11. It's so weird. Mine ok'd gummies.
  12. You may have low BP. Are you still on meds? Also the cold could be the rapid weight loss or low iron. I'd call your dr. :-)
  13. Oh my sorry its so bad. Mine started yesterday. It is a stabbing pain. It sucks. I think it's a stitch in the muscle. I have an appointment tomorrow and I'm going to ask. Ugh.
  14. We are all so new at this. We will get used to it and things will progress that will make it all easier. Everyday I feel a little bit better. I know I will have rough days but the good days give me hope. I'm two weeks today from my RNY and one from my stricture surgery and I feel pretty good. Puréed foods scare the hell out of me. I should be cleared for them tomorrow. Hang in there!
  15. Mine was cleaning, shopping and getting things in order for about two weeks of doing nothing. Good luck!!
  16. I wanna say a week or so. Everyone is different but there was a huge difference in me a week out. It gets better! :-)
  17. Well, not sure. I think it's more us being depleted since we don't eat hardly anything. I could be way off base. But I know when I wash my hair and my eyes are closed I get queasy. Just strange
  18. I've had this a little. I think it's the lack of food and getting bounced around.
  19. Dawn, yep two days after and it lasted eight days. Cramps were awful. The surgery messes with hormones.
  20. Don't cancel! You will be fine. The first week is pretty rough but each day gets better. You can do this. Heck If I can anyone can.
  21. Same here. I will not show my knees to anyone!!! We can do this!!! :-)
  22. Ugh forgot about the sugar alcohols! Thanks for the reminder.
  23. Falicia. I'm so sorry to hear you are still in pain. Is it from the complications? What does your dr say? Hugs and prayers!
  24. Niki: good luck! It's your turn!!!! Yea!
  25. I started at a size 20 and will be thrilled to be a 10 again. I was an 6-8 in high school. Dreams....
