  1. Cathy, so sorry to hear about your set back but it will go quick! It is just more time to prepare for your new life!!! Good luck!
  2. Glad to hear it!! Just take one day at a time!!
  3. I didn't. I just had an upper GI. X-ray with a barium swallow.
  4. Whoo hoo! It will be here before you know it!
  5. I'm in the same boat. I gained 10 pounds with my two surgeries. I've lost that and about 15 more but I'm now standing still. I'm trying to be positive as well.
  6. I had one. If it is, don't be frightened. I was terrified but when they fixed it, I had instant relief!!!!!!
  7. Congrats! That is a great feeling!!
  8. Wow glad to hear the egg is working so far! Sheetz also has SF finger jello that's 9 grams of protein in the bag. I'm trying chicken today.
  9. You can do this!!! Yes the liquid diet is very hard but it will be worth it. You have come so far already! I'm a big chicken and I'm terrified of failing but I'm taking one day at a time. My RNY was on the 19th and I've had some hiccups but its getting better!
  10. Protein protein protein. I used to fluff this off but there is a big difference. Over the past two years I have realized carbs slow my weight lost down. I mean the "bad" carbs. Rice, pasta, potatoes, bread, etc. I lose when I'm over 70 grams per day. Good luck.
  11. Oh I hope they can help you!! When you said you were still in pain I got worried!! Hugs!!
  12. Ivan... Just take it one step at a time. It is very hard but once you have the surgery the actual hunger goes away. You can do this. I'm also 40 and the last 20 years of struggles makes me think how different it would have been to have this years ago. Good luck! And don't be afraid to ask any questions here!!! We will support you.
  13. I suggest counseling now. I know it sounds drastic but it's worth it. Also, have you taken him with you to your appointments? Sometimes that helps lessen their fears. Good luck!!
  14. My first hospital bill came in at 47k plus a bunch of others. The total is close to 50k but the insurance rate gets the bill closer to 30k. It looks like I will have about 2k out of pocket but they will be for both surgeries. (I had to have a stricture in my intestine fixed).
  15. Hey it's all good! It's all a great "side effect". :-) lol
  16. Yea!!! Way to go! That's a huge success. :-)
  17. Wonderful! Congrats on the room too.
  18. Thanks!! Yep on the way home darn it!
  19. Ugh! I pulled something. I went for my two week check up today and must have gotten in or out of my jeep wrong. Right below my right boob. (I know TMI) Oh wow does it hurt. I was fine!! Use this as a warning Just take it easy!! Ugh!! Can't even take pain meds. They give me a rash. Here's hoping children's Tylenol works!
  20. Eva... Hope all goes well!
  21. Wow!! That's so awesome!! I'm very happy for you!
  22. Yea!! That's great news!
  23. When you loss a lot of weight fast it messes with your hormones. That's probably why the dr said not to worry about it.
