They will give you medicine to make you unaware of the procedure. I didnt feel a thing.

Yes they give you conscience sedation. Where you will be awake but you won't be aware or remember anything at all. Plus I felt awesome afterwards cause it felt like I had a great nap. Don't worry I was afraid and it was no big deal at all

Thank you I feel better :)

You will be just fine. I'll be honest with you, about 20 mins after I had McDonald's (an angus burger) and then I went to graduate school classes at night only a few hours later. I was groggy, but other than that, it wasn't bad at all. You will be fine!

They made to see its everything in your stomach its good... mostly the time I have pain that's why my Dr send me the endoscopy. But for me its hard couse you can't drink and eat anything until they did the test. I'm really thirsty :(

Oooooohhh?!? Does everyone get them? I haven't heard of it.

I didn't. I just had an upper GI. X-ray with a barium swallow.

yes one way or another it has to be done before you leave. they have to check for bleeds and or leaks.

I had the endodcopy prior to surgery but my dr does not do a swallow test for bleeds and leaks. As with everything each surgeon is different. The best thing us write down your questions about things you see in here then bring those to your dr. Good luck!!

i had an endoscopy right after the surgery. They did the endoscopy literally as soon as they finished the surgery.

I had the endo a month ago for this surgery, and they will do it again during the surgery to check for leaks and bleeds
