Thank you all! I am in nursing school with clinicals, I got out of the hospital on Thursday and went back to class on Monday maybe it's norm then and I've just done too much : -/

Wow, that's fast to go back to clinicals! I scheduled my surgery for the first week of Christmas break so I have 4 weeks to recover before I go back to 12hrs/day clinicals. You're a trooper for sure! I hope the pain lets up for you soon. Good luck with your studies! Are finals soon for you? Mine is Wednesday with pre-op being the very next day.

No I had finals the week before. We go on 11 week terms instead of semesters. I think I may have overdone it I've been hurting pretty bad yesterday and today: (

  • 2 weeks later...

i am approximately 2.5 weeks post op. am having severe pain in lower-left abdomen. it feels like there are spasms. it hurts at one specific incision. it does not hurt anywhere else. the pain is so bad that it hurts to walk, it hurts to get up from a sitting position and it hurts to sit down. the only time i feel relief is when i am lying down. it feels bloated. BM's are normal. Gas is moving through. is this normal? i have a follow-up appt with the surgeon in 2 days.

this incision pain is bit scary because on other days I have felt great. it feels like a setback. i am hoping that the pain will decrease tomorrow. i am very grateful for this forum. it is comforting to read about others' experiences.

Idk..I'vE had days like that too...feel really good then the next day hurting again...i noticed it in the beginNing if I tried not wearing the binder....I've probably overdone it today as I've had to go out 2x to shovel...not a good plan :(
