Anyone able to tolerate hot or spicy food after recovery from RNY surgery? I have never heard anyone ask this, but I've seen a few chili recipes and some people using taco seasoning...

I didn't have any trouble with hot and spicy foods. It probably varies person to person. All you can do is try. Good luck!

I didn't have any problems with spicy food. I love jalapeños and hot sauce just as much as I did PreOp.

I was tasting hot wing sauce the other day. I still love it and the little bit seemed ok.

Good to hear. I figure some point in my life, I'll want something hot. I really never heard anyone who is post surgical say they've tried it. There is a person in a support group I attend who scares the crap out of me with all her food intolerance stories, so I definitely didn't want to ask there.

Im 8 weeks out and love hot sauce.....
