  1. I'm kind of the same way. I can eat a lot. I'm about 7 weeks out. I try to visualize about a 1/2 cup. I used to carry one with me for a reminder (last year on a strict diet) about portion size. It's really hard. You are not alone. I'm always terrified I've stretched my pouch out. I'm just forcing myself to stop eating. I was good last night I did get the over full feeling. Not bad but I was happy to have it.
  2. Actually I'm struggling. I am trying to control the picking at night. I keep my phone in my hands a lot. It's so scary how much I ate/ picked at food. I'm thinking about taking up knitting to keep my hands busy.
  3. Try a little white pepper. My hubby can't handle black but is ok with white.
  4. Sounds like a good plan!! Congrats
  5. Ya I would have stayed on them at night longer but I broke out in a rash and hives from the Roxicet (pain med). Ugh.
  6. I'm the same way. I take smaller normal bites and chew the heck out of it. I read to chew 25 times before you swallow. Takes practice.
  7. I of course wanna be healthy but: I want to be able to wear high boots!!! I have huge calves I want not to be the biggest woman in the room at work I want less anxiety when I fly ugh I want to be in single digits in clothes so I can walk into any store and not be looking at jewelry I want to wear a pair of VS undies. The hot ones I want not to be thinking about what to wear in the summer to cover my arms and legs when it is 90 and I'm sweating like a pig (less of that would be nice too)
  8. They also have a lentil soup that's high in protein. I was not a fan but a lot of people like it here.
  9. I've had about a tablespoon of brown. I would not do more then that just out of fear it puffs up.
  10. It's much better but I hope the more weight I lose it kicks up the hormones. I have no drive. Poor hubby.
  11. Oh I understand. You are young so it will probably clear up faster. I'm 40 with wrinkles and now acne. Yea. Lol
  12. Glad you posted this. I have been eyeballing these. I used to eat them for lunch all the time.
  13. Thanks!! You are right. :-).
  14. I was told it is scar tissue. I had a couple like that. They seem to be fine now. It was the ones they had to go into twice so they were really beat up.
  15. Jess and Music, Thanks! You are both right. I am at about 27 pounds too. Logically, I have thought all you have said but the Dr. threw me for a loop and this morning UGH. I am feeling a little better thanks to all of your kind words and REALITY CHECK!!!! I have been stuck at this weight before so that doesn't help. Ab, thanks!! :-)

    I LOVE COD! Thanks
  17. WHOOO HOOO! Great news. The next two or so weeks will go SO FAST!!! We are all here for you! GOOD LUCK
  18. I have decided to do some old fashioned excercises in my office at work. At least it will help with toning. I am also going to get my butt on that damn treadmill and pliates machine. But I know once I start this I am not going to lose for a while. It really ticks my body off to eat less and exercise. We shall see...
  19. UGH Never thought about it getting stuck!
  20. Kris, I am about 6/7 weeks out. See my post today under Post Op titled I need help. I am frustrated as well but in reality we are doing fine. I bounce between weight all the time and others do too before the weight drops off. I know it is frustrating but you will be ok. I am at about 700 calories as well. They told me to up my Protein from 60-65 to at least 70 so I am. Hang in there!!! I bought a day of the week container for my supplements. I fill it up once a week and this way I know what I need to take is ready. When I leave for the day I toss them in a baggie. Right now what I hav left is on my desk. Also, Welcome!
  21. worm2872 worm2872@yahoo.com I am on there all the time.
  22. Yep! Darn Hormones! LOL It will eventually pass. Mine is getting way better and I am six weeks out. The fat releases hormones and will/can cause your hair to be oily, breakouts, mood swings, increase pregnancy risk, etc. Fun stuff.
  23. Thank you both!! I appreciate it!!! Kristy, You are right. I am going to up the exercise but was told that even at this point the weight should still be coming off. I guess I am not one of those people. That's OK. I have to work harder. The only carbs I am doing are the ones in the milk for my shakes and some that are in the vitiamins I take. Once in a while I have a a couple bit size Water crackers or a little fruit. I'll skip it for a while. I know I am really carb sensitive so this may be hurting. Good idea to really skip them.
  24. I need help.... I am so depressed. I am almost seven weeks out and I am only averaging around 2 pounds per week. I’ve only lost 9 pounds in the last 4 weeks. I am on my second stall. I was at the doctor's on Wednesday and when I asked about it they just said you should be averaging at least 5 pounds per week now and then just looked concerned. I get my fluids, Vitamins and Protein in almost every day. I'm even eating 700 calories a day which is more than most people at my stage. And no, my measurements have not changed. Waist is barley an inch smaller. I just can't believe I had my insides altered for almost the same results I was getting before surgery. The Dr. told me to up my protein (only 10 grams which I was close to on most days anyway) and take a laxative (that has been an issue but it has not helped with the weight). I am just so scared right now and I am trying not to cry as I sit here and type this. Any encouragement or kind words would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Heather
