  1. Lizzie, thanks!!! I love trying in clothes! Afraid to but yet but was trying on in my own closet today and was shocked that some stuff I thought would still be to small fit!
  2. TMW, wow 44 pounds. I'm only down 31 since 11/19. Hope you feel better. I'm the opposite I can eat about anything and get "low sugar" hunger so I have to snack. I'm already terrified I will resort back to old ways.
  3. I'm not a fan of the strawberry. The vanilla Dannon light is much better.
  4. Sky, you and I are on the same track! We are doing ok!!!!! :-)
  5. Chaz, that's fantastic. You look awesome!!
  6. Yep started two days later worst one of my life. Then had to have a stricture surgery ugh!
  7. I get pure protein at Walmart or watch for sales at target.
  8. Thanks DL. Always the voice of reason!
  9. I was the same way. I think we are just absorbing everything we drink. I know I was one step ahead all the time of dehydration even though I tried to drink all day long.
  10. My PCP who is also a bariatric Dr said it can really happen at any point with massive amounts of weight loss but will pass. And it's worse with women. Nice lol
  11. Lisa, yes! You look much thinner! Good for you. :-)
  12. That's pretty normal. We just shocked our bodies and eat so little. It started to pass with me about three to four weeks. Even now I can sometimes feel it in my legs on stairs. Just keep moving as much as you can. 60 grams is pretty good for where you are at. Hope you feel strong soon!
  13. Hi Kim!! Welcome. And congrats! I'm about 8 weeks out and they are right each day gets better. There will be some rough spots around the third and four week from pouch healing. You just won't want to eat. But I started to feel really good at that point too. Hang in there. Good luck.
  14. I use splenda in coffee and was told it was ok as well.
  15. http://www.sparkrecipes.com/ Spark recipes You can sort by dietary needs low fat/low carb/ sugar free and number of calories per serving.
  16. I am two months out and I was only getting in like 500-600 calories a day doing three meals. My Dr. actually told me to start doing more mini meals (AKA snacking) since I was not getting in enough calories. I do one late afternoon, which is good since I get queasy if I don't, and maybe late morning I am now closer to 700-800. I lost 4 pounds this week but I am scared the opposite way. I don't want to snack but I can't get the calories in if I don't. Sigh
  17. Pure Protein bars have 3 grams of sugar and 20 grams of protein. I don't eat them everyday but when I need to eat (like when it is crazy at work) I break it in half or thirds for a quick snack.
  18. I actually started a little note book and write down the amount of weight I lose each week. I can see the pattern now. Go a week or two drop very little then bam 3-4 pounds drop off. I use MFP pal but you don't see the week by week as easily on there.
  19. I have been really into Morning Star Garden Burgers. I like the fact that it can just be microwaved for lunch. Something differnet and 10 grams of Protein. I also like stuffed shells with meat sauce. I don't eat the shell but the cheese and the meat sauce sure are good.
  20. Eating Well After Weight Loss Surgery: Over 140 Delicious Low-Fat High-Protein recipes to Enjoy in the Weeks, Months and Years After Surgery I bought this book from Amazon and I really like it. What's great about it is they break a lot of them down into the different stages and they tested them in each stage. Pretty cool
  21. Pre-op 275 DOS 262 11-19-2012 Today 231 I finally lost all the weight I gained back after losing 60 pounds last year. I started at 298 and got to 231 and then back up to 275. This is what pushed me to RNY. I am happy to be back in the clothes I bought last year. 1st goal accomplished.
  22. Army wife, thank you!!! My hubby picked up a 25 pound turkey the other day and said here pick this up. Then said now do you still think you haven't lost anything? Lol Also look at a pound of butter. Pure fat. Puts that "I only lost one pound" in perspective.
  23. I think I lived on dannon light Greek for about two weeks lol. I still have one almost everyday.
  24. Yea! Just rem to eat very slow and chew chew chew.
  25. There are a lot of low carb low sugar options now. You have to be careful and read the labels. . Thanks goodness. They are life savors when I travel.
