  1. 50 calories a day? Did you mean that? Oh my. Hugs!! And I may add another shake. At least I'm not the only one hungry.
  2. Good grief I hope no one ever took a post of mine like that. I am surely no expert. I screw up Dailey. However I saw a post yesterday from a person who was eating a "no no" item. I was do mad because this same person ripped another member a new bum for eating almost the same item about a month ago. I was furious but I will not argue with people. We all struggle. We all have different plans. I'm allowed fruit and whole grain toast in small amounts after Protein. Some are not. I ate a piece of brownie yesterday. Another member ate a cupcake. No judgement please. We all have bad days. We need to support and encourage. Ok I'm done.. :-)
  3. You look amazing!! What a great loss. You must be soooo proud!!! Congrats
  4. Don't know about travel insurance but I just did two back to back trips to Harrisburg for work (in the car for over four hours each way) and I'm two months post op. I'd have no issues with a plane right now either.
  5. Whoo hoo. That's awesome. :-)
  6. Yes cut back slowly. Start by cutting out one thing for a few days. Then add something else. For example get a latte with skim milk or the potato without bacon and cheese. You can do this!!! It just takes time. See if your NUT can give you a sample diet plan. I always do better with something visual.
  7. Woo hoo! Congrats. Welcome to your new life. There will be some rough patches but overall it is wonderful.
  8. Anyone else hungry? It's actually waking me up! This is really hunger. I feel like like until I eat. WTH? I thought I'd get a few months without hunger. As far as the calories are concerned, I'd do what the dr/nut says but there are calories in liquids too. How many are you getting now? I'm confused too.
  9. Yep at least 800. It's hard but as soon as I bumped up I stared losing again but 45 pounds is a huge loss!!!! I'm at two months and only 36 down. Your body is in shock and needs to adjust. You will start losing again.
  10. Congrats on your surgery!!! :-). I'd snap and tell her to shut the hell up. I was pretty foul right after surgery. Lol. Good luck! You'll be home soon.
  11. I wish I had some great inspiring words but this has been such a roller coaster for me as well. I'm two months out and like you I'm down 36 pounds. I've been pretty good with everything. I'm tired of no bread or veggies or fruit or salad or a cookie or pizza etc. I wanted a salad soooooo bad yesterday but no I picked two sandwiches a part and gagged the lunch meat down for protein (I was at a work meeting and traveling). I got so damn upset I couldn't (didn't have room) for a salad I went in the break room and ate part of a brownie. I felt like a freak in the room, no salad??? I guess Better than the whole brownie, it was huge, but felt like crap mentally. WTH. All I can say is one day at a time. You ate the cupcakes. I ate the brownie. We can't pity ourselves. We made this choice to be healthier. We will have slip ups. But overall we are doing well. Hugs!
  12. Bariatric advantage has a chewable iron and calcium citrate. Both very tasty but pricey. I take the iron but alternate the calcium with citracle chewables. I know they are carbonate but money is a bit right right now. Oh and my surgeon is fine with gummies.
  13. My BF has surgery to help with her back pain and it's gotten worse esp in the tailbone area. She uses a plastic padded lumbar seat QVC sells. She says it helps a lot.
  14. When I bumped up to 800 calories I dropped four pounds. You have to shake it up or your body gets used to a number. I'm trying to stay under 700 for two days then ill jump back up. Seems to be working. I'm a slow loser so I have to do all I can. Good luck
  15. It's the pain meds. I had them too plus huge hives around the incisions since its an area of weakness. I didn't have strips just a little glue. Def the pain meds. I was told to take Benedryl. It really help. What sucked was I had them a while after I quit taking them. Grrr
  16. Whoo hoo. Onederland!!! Congrats. It's such a huge milestone.
  17. What a great NSV!!!! I'm happy for you. I'm just hoping to have fewer "smile" lines everywhere.
  18. I've only lost 33 and I'm two months out. You are doing great!
  19. I was the same way. I slept with a hot water bottle on my tummy and that seemed to move it along. Good luck
  20. Im so sorry you got sick!! I have no problem paying full price in a restaurant if I can take it home and eat it later. A buffet would tick me off.
  21. Hummmm have to try them.
  22. I see a lot o people do this on here. They also do the five day pound test. There's a website about it. I know in the past (pre op) is have to shock my system. Shake things up a bit. Good luck.
  23. Same here. I hiccups pro op now it's just ridiculous. I do burp too. I guess I'm a joy to e around!
  24. I may try using a little here and there. So far I can taste it in everything.
  25. Yes, esp the Strawberry according to my NUT and surgeon.
