how long until you can travel?

I'm just wondering if anyone knows how long you have to wait after surgery to travel? I'm going in feb 4 and I am hoping I would be able to travel in may.

You should be fine but everyone heals in their own time. I was back to work in 1 wk. but I have heard others took a very long time. I wanted to be up and moving ASAP..but that is just me. I feel that the quicker you get moving the better off you are. I would speak to your surgeon but 3 months post op should be OK baring you have no complicaitons.

Yeah I'm trying to see the same thing! I'm having m surgery in may and want to travel very end of June

My surgeon said something about not being able to get travel insurance until you are 3 months post op.... But I was hoping to travel just shy of the three months.

Don't know about travel insurance but I just did two back to back trips to Harrisburg for work (in the car for over four hours each way) and I'm two months post op. I'd have no issues with a plane right now either.

So that sucks... It's my hubby's brothers wedding we have to go to and I don't wanna miss it :(
