  1. WHOO HOO! It will go by so fast! Congrats to you!!!
  2. I did all that stuff and I bought a heating pad. It was so great to have esp after the trip home. I lived with that thing for three weeks. Good luck!
  3. Kristy, I think you are right. I forget how major this surgery is plus I had complications and another surgery. To that point, my skin still is sensitive where the incisions were.
  4. I'm ten weeks post op and for the most part I feel great but I have days where I am just wiped out. I feel like I did post op. It's so weird. I am thinking it is the fewer calories catching up with me? I recently did two back to back work trips and I was exhausted.
  5. I am still hot most of the time but I always have been. But one thing I have noticed is that once I get cold I can't get warm no matter what I do. So strange.
  6. I was hoping mine would start watching too but so far no... I also have to be careful because I make extra for lunches and I don't eat hardly anything so there is a lot left over. He is eating what I am not. sigh....
  7. We are cheering for you! You will be up and moving in no time!
  8. Coffee helps me too. I know I should be drinking decaf but it is my one vice.
  9. Yes, My skin is pretty rough but my hair is the worst. I seem to get really oily. It subsided for a while and now it is back.
  10. I just buy the frozen and heat them up with some salt. I love them. Great for protein.
  11. You do have to be careful which ones you pick but there are some good ones. I travel and use them if real busy at work. Pure protein, nugo slim, quest, to name a few. There are a lot out there now that are low sugar low carb and natural ingredients.
  12. Yes mine did last about two weeks. I just tried to eat what I could as often as I could. I actually switched from crystal light to plain water. It was making it worse. It would take me an hour to get in most of protein drink.
  13. I'm Worm2872 (go figure lol) and I am on there everyday.
  14. Same here I have to do two Colace (stool softners) a day and periodically milk of magnesia. If not, I am really constipated and miserable. Check with your Dr. first. So recommend Mirilax daily. Hope you feel better!!
  15. Well, I guess it depends on how they are prepared. If they are baked and mainly crab meat, I don't see why not. I would be very careful since a lot in restaurants are fried and have a lot of butter and even mayo type sauces on them. Pretty rich.
  16. Baratric Pantry has a bunch of different sample packs you can order. You can order one from Unjury too. This is how I found my favorites. I like Syntrax Nectar Chocolate Truffle and Syntrax matrix Mint Cookies and Cream for a change. I also like the Unjury. They have a chicken soup too that is great for post-op.
  17. I am no expert but I try to be on here everyday and look for folks to reach out to. I agree, this board helped me so much I want to give back.
  18. Yep. I think We all go through this with the healing process. Mine hit weeks three and four. It was awful but I pushed through and it passed. I swear I lived on a Syntrax shake, yogurt, cheese and crackers. Hugs!
  19. You must be so proud. Rem this day when things get a little rough after surgery. It proves how strong you are!!! Good luck and congrats.
  20. Aaggghhh! People just can't handle their own insecurities and jealousy. They hate us fat and hate the fact we are doing something about it. Maybe hate is a strong word but you get my point. Glad we can vent and support each other here. Just rem we did this for ourselves
  21. So dr are ok with them some are not. Mine was. I used gerber stage two or three. Didn't eat much of them but when I needed something different I used them.
  22. Ill have a few water crackers with my cheese or lunch meat. On my plan I am allowed starches/carbs after protein. I get my protein in so a few crackers are fine to make it easier. Rem. all plans are different. If you are unsure check with your dr or NUT.
  23. I eat out a good bit. Whatever you order try to Mae sure you can doggie bag it. I feed off of it for a few meals or hubby/doggies get it. We can live normal lives.
