I was told to only eat them if we have to because of all the junk that are in them.

You do have to be careful which ones you pick but there are some good ones. I travel and use them if real busy at work. Pure protein, nugo slim, quest, to name a few. There are a lot out there now that are low sugar low carb and natural ingredients.
