  2. Thanks mami I do feel a lot better
  3. It was sugar free and I've eaten it every day for 3 weeks
  4. So I had a sugar free pudding mixed with protein powder the same thing I eat every morning because it goes down so well. Well today it didn't. I was nauseous crampy heart was pounding sweaty just horrible. I couldn't lay down or sit up. I just cried for 20 min. Then I went for a walk a slow one. An hour passed still feeling like crap. My husband made me some cream of chicken soup. Made me feel worse. Then I went to the bathroom and sat there for 20 mind. Everything came out just fine feelings better thank God! Who knew wls would make you suicidal so many times in such a short period
  5. Start walking the more you walk the faster it goes away. I know I wanted to slap everyone who told me to walk but it works
  6. My husband had to do that for me for the first week and a half. God I hope nothing ever happens to him cuz I definitely can't do for him what he's done for me
  7. Funny thing is we do have a lock and my husband thought he locked it. It was really early and my kids always sleep in til at least 10 except for that morning of course.
  8. You'll do fine. You'll be in some pain when you first wake up don't be shy ask for your pain meds. Don't let the pain get bad ask for them as soon as you start feeling pain again. That's how they control the pain the best. Walk and move as much as possible to get the gas out. I regretted the surgery for the first week. It gets better I promise. Chapstick will be your best friend. Don't rush your recovery I asked to stay in the hospital an extra day. I'm almost 3 weeks out and I still let my husband and kids do almost everything. Smile you're almost there sending prayers and hugs
  9. You are not alone by far I've been a quick witted fat girl most of my life I was 220 in 8th grade. Funniest fat chick around a pretty face to boot. I ballooned up to 338 and had enough. Luckily I got fat enough that my insurance covered it with no problems. I started my liquid diet 2weeks early and lost 30 pounds on my own. I had my surgery 6/11 and gained 21 of it back. Thanks to this forum I expected that. I know how scary and exciting this road is and even tho our loved ones try to understand they never will. This is the best wls forum around. Good luck to ya chica!
  10. Yes there is a name for it. There is a nerve that runs thru your abdomen pelvis then down your thighs. Sometimes it gets severed during abdominal surgery sometimes tight pants bother it I googled burning staving pain in upper thigh and found the answer
  11. My oldest is 18 I also have a 13yr old 8yr old as well as the 4yr old and this is the first time one of them has walked in on us. I've never walked in on my parents. She hasn't said anything about it since nor have I, probably not the best thing but oh well I don't know what to say
  12. Applause to mami I am a stay at home mom and I have an old fashioned husband as well I normally do all if the household stuff except for mowing the lawn taking out the garbage and shoveling snow. But after my kids were born or if I'm sick he has no problem doing what needs to be done. And for That I'm grateful. I dont know how you did it mami I'm almost 3 weeks out and I still can't bend over.
  13. So I'm 2 1/2 weeks out (6/11) and my husband asked if we can have sex yet. I'm from the old school and believe in keeping my man satisfied. So we tried it missionary and I was fine but he was being too gentle and kept asking are you OK? Does it hurt? I was like that's the problem it doesn't hurt come on already I'm fine. And just when it was getting good my four year old wakes up and walks in my room! She stared for a min then runs out screaming and crying "daddy's hurting mommy he's gonna kill her surgery " needless to say we didn't finish! I'm happy to know I'm getting better tho a few days ago I couldn't fathom the thought of laying flat let alone having sex. Sorry if this was tmi but I had to share with someone and who better than my rny family
  14. Congratulations! 6 months will fly by!
  15. Chaotica I'm in tinley park
  16. Puritan pride.com the have adult multi gummies with fiber 3 bottles for $7. That's what I take and they go down great
  17. You will definitely need help for at least a week I'm 2 1/2 weeks out and I still can't bend over. There are people here that recover quickly I unfortunately am taking forever. I went to my 2nd post op appointment thursday and they think I'm doing great. My husband cooks cleans and takes care of the kids as well as works nights. I'm able to do some things as long as it doesn't require bending. I still have trouble standing up from a sitting or lying position. If I didn't have help I don't know what I would have done. Good luck chica!
  18. I have bcbs Illinois and it took about a week. No harm in calling them to push things along
  19. I'm 17 days out and still in pain it is getting better. No c-sections for me 4 natural births my son was 10lbs10oz and I'd do that 50xs over this first week I regretted it and wanted to die now it just sucks when I first wake up and when standing up from sitting or lying down
  20. Nothing strange about it, I was super excited as well. Everyone would always ask if I was afraid and I'd say no just excited. It didn't seem like it was happening fast enough. I'm 16 days post op noe
  21. My surgeon asked me what surgery I wanted and why. Talked about medical history. Explained the procedure and gave me a folder of all the things I needed to do pre and post op. Lasted 15min at most. I didn't have any questions because I've been researching this extensively.
  22. I hadn't had a bm in a week so I was drinking milk of mag like it was water and citrucel in every glass of water I drank every day to no avail. Finally went and bought an enema today. It worked to well. Explosive every 10 min everyone in the house could hear it I was even running the bath water and sink. Horribly embarrassing. In 17 years of marriage my husband has never heard or smelled me pass gas. I was raised by my Grandma (old school Puerto rican) you weren't even allowed to say fart in her house. Ladies don't burp out loud and they only pass gas in the bathroom.
  23. You'll get plenty of sleep in the hospital. Don't forget your chapstick. Sending prayers for a speedy recovery your way
