Hi All :)

Hi im Mark from the UK. Just wanted to intro myself.

Im 39, BMI of 39 and scheduled for surgery on 1st August. Have high BP, borderline diabetes and a serious inherited back disease. Also family history of diabetes and heart disease (mum and dad). It's odd, but I'm strangely excited about the surgery.

Nothing strange about it, I was super excited as well. Everyone would always ask if I was afraid and I'd say no just excited. It didn't seem like it was happening fast enough. I'm 16 days post op noe

Welcome to the group & best of luck.

I'm treating myself to my RNY. I've done a lot of research and am 100% sure this is right for me. Only thing I'm really going to miss is a pint of ale in the local pub on a Friday night!

Ohh god don't even say that!! I am so goin to miss Havin a beer with the guys!

Awww thanks god I hate beer. I do like alcoholic fruity drinks occasionally. Looks like next year once I get the body I want I can have alcohol once in a while.

Going to miss Champagne as well :(
