  1. It will be here before you know it. I got my date 3 months ahead of time and it flew by I'm now 4 days out
  2. I started my preop liquid diet 2weeks early so I did it for a total of 3 weeks I lost 35 lbs. After surgery I'm not hungry at all. I've cooked for my kids watched my sister eat a chocolate crossaint. No hunger at all not even head hunger. I'm 4 days post op and Ive only has diet peach tea water vitamin water and a couple of sugar free popsicle (can't eat a whole one). That part is easy for me. The pain on the other hand....
  3. Yes. My Dr said the same thing but I'm a dairy lover. Once I'm cleared ill be eating yogurt cottage cheese and drinking milk like I always have. Plus ill make all of my protein shakes with milk
  4. I was totally expecting the opposite he gave me hell preop. Telling me not to lose too much and people eat around it and wasting my time. But he admitted that he was.afraid I'd die on the table and leave him and the kids. He says I'm beautiful fat or skinny but he doesn't want every man looking at me. Sweet!
  5. Puritans pride has chewables. I've gotten all of my vitamins thru them: a gummy multivitamin plus fiber. B12 sublingual calcium citrate chewable 3month supply for all of them for $40.... can't beat that
  6. Well I gained 13 pounds in the hospital I'm 4days post op. I thought it was funny! I've ingested 40 calories a day since surgery so its obviously fluids. My husband and I just laughed til my tummy hurt! He said the Dr didn't do the surgery he just implanted a 15 pound dumbell in my tummy!
  7. I'm in Chicago. Lansing isn't that far and I'd love to do it. I feel for people whom can't afford it or don't have insurance. I'm blessed to have a public service employed husband who has phenomenal insurance. I didn't even have a copay. Not one red cent for NY surgery. Even got my vitamins covered!
  8. My husband told me he was proud of me! He said he was glad I got what I wanted and he loves me either way. When we met I was 220 which is a size 16 for me. 17 years later I'm 321(down from 338) and a size 26. Not even a week post op and he says he sees a difference. He has surprised me. He's been wiping my butt(hurts to reach around) since the surgery. He has bathed me everyday, shaved my legs and even painted my toes! I was so worried he'd be jealous! He said I'm a soldier for dealing with the pain without too many complaints. Although I'm quite bitchy because of hormones and pain. I'm a stay at home mom and he works 50+ hrs a week. He's been doing all of the coouand cleaning even gave the girls baths every night including combing their hair. I am truly blessed to have him!
  9. The grass is greener on the other side because its fertilized with bullshit
  10. All is well except for the pain. I had no idea it was going to be this bad Thanks everyone
  11. I'm alive. In lots of pain but I'm OK. Thanks for asking. Just got home from the hospital
  12. You're not crazy I'm still in lots of pain 3days out. I can only stand or walk for a few minutes. I have a binder which helps a little bit. I have a big pannus so gravity isn't helping with the pain.

  16. Had my surgery Monday still in hospital. This is the worst pain I have ever had. I've given birth 4 times my son was 10lbs10oz and that was nothing compared to this
  17. I never thought this day would come! I need some sleep but I can't!
  18. My rny is scheduled for Mon morning. I was expecting something to go wrong with the pre op testing I had on Tuesday. But my doc said I'm healthy as a horse. Everything was within normal range. So here goes everything! Need your prayers
  19. So excited! My surgery is set for 6/11/12. I'm a bit worried about my preop testing on 6/5 upper gi. Pulmonary function leg Doppler and bllod tests. I just feel like something will go wrong and ill have to postpone. I passed the psyc eval nuclear stress test and a visit with the pulmonologist. I've started the protein diet two weeks early to get a jump start. I never weigh myself so who knows if its working. I refuse to buy a scale. Ill weigh in at Dr appointments. I'm a 34 year old mother of 4. My start weight was 338. I'm 5'6.5 in dire need of a buddy to take this journey with me. My husband of 17years is not that supportive. He likes fat girls LOL. I think its making him insecure. Any advice or help would be greatliry appreciated.
