Tuna is really good with a bit of olive oil and a splash of vinegar if you don't like mayo.

Lettuce? Any problems? How Long?
I ate a small salad with romaine, 1/2 a roma tomato, and a bit of green onion today. It was my first time post op and I am 9 weeks out. I felt a bit of discomfort, but it wasn't bad enough that I didn't finish it.

Colonoscopy
Tell your doctor! I had my first colonoscopy before being sleeved, but I have no idea how I will be able to drink all that icky stuff required when I have my next one. There are alternative prep methods that will be necessary once one is sleeved.

Scared
Yes, very normal. It is the fear of the unknown. You will be fine!

Survey - Carbonated Drinks? Do u drink them?
None since 2006 other than some champagne during the holidays. I had a couple of glasses of champagne after being sleeved and it didn't bother me.

Not enough information before sleeved
I didn't have any classes. I researched for months before even starting the process. I had one visit with a nutritionist and that was it besides the pre-op testing such as psych eval.

Protein to carb ratio
I set my macros at 40/30/30, protein/carbs/fat, and my NUT was fine with it.

I cheated .. Bad!
You'll be fine, don't worry. How many days is your pre-op diet?

Disclaimer: a bit of whining?
I will look into that Iron supplement. I also saw some drops on Amazon he could take in his food bag. Thanks!

Disclaimer: a bit of whining?
Weird, my hubby's RLS got worse after he weaned off Fentanyl Patches for pain from radiation therapy. I wonder if more Iron could help him. He is unable to take food by mouth and is on a feeding tube. I wonder if there are sublingual iron supplements.

headache
Dehydration can definitely cause headache. That is one of the major symptoms. Try something with electrolytes like G2 or even Pedialyte. Maybe you need to eat more as well.

Disclaimer: a bit of whining?
I have heard lots of people complain about sleep issues. Fortunately, I haven't had the problem. A few years ago I discovered 1 bendadryl, 1 3mg. melatonin, and my nightly Neurontin put me to sleep just fine. I waited maybe 4 days after surgery before I started up with that again and had no issues with taking the meds whole. I'm sorry about your RLS. Hubby has it pretty bad. He is on Neupro Patches and Mirapex tablets and sometimes it still breaks through. Now that wakes me up even from my sleep cocktail!

As I am right now. I think I have lost the same 3 lbs. 3 times this month, so far.

What my doctor says about stalls...
- Ok guys....I need help
My surgeon/nutritionist says small meals every 2-3 hours. Whenever I get hungry between meals I have a cheese stick or something like that.- Blood pressure question
I was on two meds, Diovan HTC and Metoprolol. My surgeon discharged me with instructions to discontinue the Diovan immediately. I still take one Metoprolol a day.- Hospital stay
One night for me.- Stage 2: Mushy foods
I ate greek yogurt for Breakfast, refried Beans w/cheese or tuna for lunch and the same or some kind of Soup for dinner. I still had shakes as well. Scrambled eggs went down fine.- which is the true weight
Morning!- Look what i found to make pre-op shakes just a little better.
Is it found in the refrigerated section?- Liver diet
I lost 8 lbs. Tons of people lost more than me. I gained back the whole 8 lbs. in the hospital! Damn IV fluids...- Clear broth?
I simmer plain chicken broth with dried rosemary & thyme and add a tsp. of Better than Bouillon and it is delicious. - Ok guys....I need help
