  1. Yeppers they can. It can also be considered a DUI (Driving Under the Influence of Drugs or Alcohol).
  2. I just thought this was funny.....
  3. NICE! I sent it to DH (the Science teacher) and he is going to show it to his Earth Science class. He says "thanks!"
  4. Tupperware and Pampered Chef are my favorite friends!!
  5. I have a similar, yet different issue too. I have lost 60 lbs and I DO see a difference in the actual clothing size and people DO say they notice it.... My problem is that I JUST DON'T SEE IT! I feel like I look as fat as I did the day of the surgery. So I can understand that it may be frustrating. Just keep hanging in there and hope it all gets better soon. I know that no one seemed to notice my loss and then all of a sudden people were "wow" and "whoa" at me. And I just look at them like their nuts. Whoa what? I dont see a thing!
  6. Holy crap, you paid WHAT?!??! for the surgery? I hope that is a typo. $45k???? I was lower BMI and I think the last 20# is the hardest to lose. The first 1/2 was a breeze. Now, fat is being stubborn.
  7. Wow, she is up and ready to go!!! Now that is what I call excitement! Hope all goes well and you are on your way to a speedy recovery soon!
  8. Bumping again so that it goes to the top of the list. I watch this thread VERY closely and I think the information is very useful. I want to remind everyone that if they do not want to post, please PM Dawg your information and he will keep it private and just use the informatin for the statistics he is gathering.
  9. Come on everyone. Last day to get your names on the list for the Secret Bunny exchange!!! Don't forget to PM Kimber-lilly your address!
  10. Wow, I don't know if any of us had our surgery for $6k. I think the lowest price you will find is around $8k. Can you possibly finance the rest?
  11. I wore a lot of my comfy robe (nothing underneath)
  12. Is she back yet????? Hope all went well and you are recovering nicely!
  13. Looooooooooong story. I think there is a thread back from last summer on it. Really frustrated the hell out of me. They don't have the best reputation. They are more involved with "quantity" (and yes, they TOLD me that!!) is what I was told on the phone. Got about the same dumbass answers from Phoenix as well as Chicago Wish Centers. From that point on.... they don't touch my dog. He takes his business elsewhere.
  14. I am thinking it might be Leatha??
  15. Note to self: Don't ever ever EVER piss off Pageantnurse.
  16. My vote is to wait until you have lost all of your weight and see where you are then. If you have one now, you could still lose breast mass through weight loss and thus be smaller than you want to be.
  17. I am a stomach sleeper too. (just the same as you described, and usually with a body pillow) I couldn't do it for about a month. Then all was fine.
  18. I wouldn't let the Wish Center cut my dogs toenails.
  19. I have around 2.2 cc's I think right now. Yes, ONLY Dr. Martinez touches me. I swear I am in love with that man! I have my days of eating and being finicky too. I have toyed with the idea of getting a fill, but I just know it is me and not the band.
  20. You all know how much I love the polls.... Here is yet another. The Gall Bladder vs. Band thread has prompted this one.
  21. Make sure you are also getting the costs of all their pre-op tests. Good luck on your decision process! And welcome to LBT. Plus, depending on your BMI, that might take you out of some Doctors in the US.
  22. Hi, I was banded about the same time as you by Dr. Ortiz. Just a week apart. You can check out my stats below. I think my issue is exercise. I work a lot and have A LOT going on outside of that. I just don't have time or energy to really bust out a good sweat. If I would, I know I could drop another 10-15
  23. I had surgery on Wed and was back to desk job on Monday. But I wish I would have waited until Wed again. As far as full duty goes, I wish I would have waited for 6 weeks instead of 4. But I am a big baby on pain and my duty belt rubbed my scars.
  24. How about just closing your eyes througout the entire process? You will have to FIND your food. Soon you will be so frustrated, you will just quit out of frustration and exhaustion. And think of how fun it would be to watch you?
  25. Glad your recovering well. Any plans for rebanding or another option? Tell your surgeon you want YOUR band. What reason does he give for sending it to some lab? What lab?
