Official Spring/Easter Thank You Thread!
Well my secret bunny was supposed to be Maysa. She is new but her last activity into LBT was on April 13th. And she has had many posts. Sooooo, she must know that I didn't receive my gift. She has never emailed me, PM'd me, posted on the thread, nothing. I think it is INCREDIBLY rude of people to enter into the exchanges and not participate fully. For someone to not contact anyone and tell them they were going to be late or to just shaft their bunnies is just plain ignorant, irresponsible and shows a lack of personal character in relationships. I realize I am being harsh here, but for us to be grown adults (or close to adulthood) and be grown enough to make full decisions about our bodies and lives, then I would think that someone would be grown enough to participate in a simple gift exchange. I realize problems arise, but when you are constantly posting and checking into LBT and participating in discussions, then PLEASE keep up your responsibility to the group when you sign up for something. So if you are a bunny that really 'dropped your basket' on this exchange and did not send anything and did not PM your partner then I ask you to please bow out of future exchanges with this group as you are not responsible enough to complete this task. That being said..... moving onward to the next exchange!!! Mary, I am going to try and write them a letter at that address. Can you send me the name of the church?

Cottege Cheese...IDEAS!
I usually add either fruit juice from a can of fruit or (don't laugh it is good) French dressing. It gives it a tangy taste. Hey, don't knock it till you try it!

I thought Kat's Live Forever song was the BEST of the night. Truly, the lights people made her look amazing but I got chills! Even my son said about Ace, "why does he do that crazy thing with his eyebrows?" LMAO

Official Spring/Easter Thank You Thread!
Well I checked with my secret bunny, bubbame (mary). She didn't get it because I sent it to the wrong address, which was the address sent to me. This is depressing. I spent almost $40 on something and it was probably delivered to someone else and they are enjoying it! That being said, I still haven't gotten my bunny gift so if you are my secret bunny, you may want to PM me and check the address it was sent to.

:uwelcome: I mailed my package out a month ago and delivery confirmation says status delivered. But they haven't posted here. And yet, they are posting elsewhere on this site. I guess they didn't like what I sent? In any case, I am still waiting for my package to arrive. HOPPITY HOP SECRET BUNNY!!!

Alcohol after banding
Yes, some do. But shouldn't (according to my doc). Doctors seem to have different ideas and advise their patients in different ways though. I am just staying on the safe side and avoiding all carbonation like the plague.

Hellllllp! Finalizing decision between LB and bypass. Need imput please!
I have my band and I love my band. I am doing well with my band. However, I have concerns about how many more surgeries I would need to KEEP my band. With the possibility of a revision surgery for one reason or another, band erosion, slippage, etc and the commonality of it within a 10 year span.... If I had to do it all over again, I would dive into RNY instead. Just my opinion and my circumstance. I do think the band is safer and less invasive and healthier but I like the permanancy of RNY. I like that there isn't as much, if any, follow up care appointments, adjustments, revisions, etc. I think that RNY would have been the "life long" option without going into another surgery or two. They say that the band is "long term" not "life long". I wanted life long. I didn't expect that I could erode, have a surgery, wait 6 months, have another surgery, and keep repeating that process. When I paid my money, I thought I was getting something for life (which for me could be another 40 years!). I would have paid the extra $8K to have the RNY if I had to do it over. But alas, I don't have that option for a "do over". So I work with my band, and it is doing its job for now. So for now, I will love and respect my band until I need a revision. Then I will switch to RNY not reband.

American Idol
okay ya'll, I am going out on a limb.... bottom 3 are going to be 1. Taylor 2. Bucky 3. Ace (Bucky is going home) I agree, the "come hither" look Ace keeps giving is giving me the creeps. I am now a Chris D Girl ALL THE WAY BABY! I was actually terribly disappointed in Taylor's performance. He looked as if he was having some type of seizure on stage. I though Simon was spot on.

Has this happened to anyone?
:sick I am sick too right now. Sore throat, hoarse cough. As soon as I felt it come on... I started downing the chewable Vitamins, drinking herbal teas (as hot as I can) and chicken broth. Been on liquids only for about 38 hours now. I think it is working. Now I think it would work faster if I stopped smoking. Try not to take the liquid gel caps, maybe opt for some liquid Robitussin instead. My band is definitely tighter since I got sick. I have lost another 2 lbs. All Water weight I think though.

Does anyone Chew and spit just to get the mental out of the way?
I did. Popped a marshmallow Peep in my mouth from Easter candy about 2 weeks post op. Chewed and spit it out in the garbage. Was very satisfied to just have the taste. And it curbed my craving.
