  1. I have had hunger pangs from the day I got sleeved! My stomach growls and lets me know when it's time to eat. I've lost 165 pounds in a year so my hunger pangs have had no negativity. My head hunger is about 90% gone. That's what's made the huge difference in my life. I have a hunger pang so I eat a few bites and I'm full and satisfied. I lost 105 pounds the first six months and 60 pounds in the next 6 months. I feel the entire year was a honeymoon stage. I've went below my goal and I'm now trying not to lose anymore weight. Good luck!
  2. I had my tummy tuck 2 days before my one year sleeve anniversary. My doctor said he usually made people wait 18 months but since I had lost enought weight he went ahead and did it. I was self pay
  3. Lots of people on here will say its only gas but I have had hunger pains from the beginning. I'm a year out and I've lost 165 pounds. When I haven't ate for a few hours yes my stomach growls but after a few bites I'm full. So don't let it worry you because it hasn't affected my weight loss at all.
  4. Extensions are nasty! Just go to Sally's and get the clip in ones. Have your hair stylist cut and show you how to style them. The problem with extension are that they don't go on top of your head so your hair will still look thin on top. Cutting your hair will help the most. They also make stuff like eye shadow that you apply to your scap and it will help camouflage your scalp.
  5. I only drank about 2 protein drinks after surgery. I didn't like them. I did just fine without them. I would not drink them if they made me puke. Good luck
  6. I was a very hard stick before surgery but now that I've lost so much weight they have never had to stick me twice. I asked the last nurse if it was easier to stick a thin person and she said that usually didn't make a difference. Has anyone else noticed a difference since losing weight?
  7. You have insurance and you will still owe that much? I don't have insurance and was self pay and I paid 11,999. Maybe you should look into Mexico
  8. Only had a couple after surgery but never again!
  9. I've lost 165 pounds in a year. Surgery and recovery was super easy and I love my sleeve!
  10. That's awesome! And you do look great!
  11. I eat about 800 cal a day. I really need to start eating more because I'm at a weight I want to stay at but I'm finding that hard to do. I just don't want to eat any more then I do now! I'm a year out
  12. And if that fails you can always get a tummy tuck!
  13. You look great! Maybe this is the weight your body wants to be at.
  14. I'm a year out and I can't eat a slice of pizza. I can eat the toppings and maybe 2 bites of crust but that's all.
  15. Mine did the same thing but it got better over time.
  16. I'm a year out and I can eat 3-4 oz of protein. Every day is different though
  17. I didn't need any help.
  18. I wish someone would have have told me how awesome being sleeved was and how in a year I would weigh 164 pounds less! Oh well I probably wouldn't have believed them anyway.
