  1. My doctor said sleeve to bypass. I would never get a lap band after all the research I've done on them.
  2. That's great! I had a tummy tuck last Tuesday and gosh it's nice not having a fat gut! Good luck and keep it up!
  3. I've kept mine a secret for over a year. Still glad I did!
  4. Bariatric menu? Great idea!
  5. I'm also from Missouri! Good luck!
  6. Old fashioned way? Good idea since that's worked for so many people already! NOT
  7. I had constipation at about month 9 and it lasted about a month and a half. I was miserable. I think drinking more water really helped.
  8. I know lots of people who have done it and most lost some weight but they all put it back on super fast. I had surgery so I wouldn't have to worry about crazy diets again!
  9. I was self pay. I had the same dr do my tummy tuck that did my sleeve. It was $5000
  10. I just had a tummy tuck on Tuesday. I have only taken pain meds 3 times. I'm very happy so far with my recovery!
  11. I eat at McDonald a lot and I eat a mcdouble with no bread or a mcchicken with no bread. They are both on the dollar menu
  12. Don't give up. You should keep track of your food for a few days and make sure your not eating too much. I've lost 162 lbs In a year and I have not exercised! I know I should but but I hate it.. As long as your not eating too much you should be losing even without exercise. Good luck!
  13. Mine went from a 46d to a 36dd. I feel so much better now that they are smaller. I used to have upper back pain from them but now I don't!
  14. i will put up some pics as soon as I'm able to take a new pic of myself. I had a tummy tuck on Tuesday so ill take one after I get my drains out next week. Thanks everyone!
  15. I eat about 800 calories a day. It's really all I can handle or want.
  16. 1 year ago today I had my vertical sleeve surgery! What a great year it has been! I've lost 162 pounds and went 14 pounds below my goal weight! I feel like a new person.
  17. My son has lost 12 lbs since I had surgery a year ago. I usually cook us the same thing I just eat way less. When we go out to eat we always share a meal. He is a very healthy muscular 17 year old boy and its crazy that we still have food left over at a restaurant when we've ate off the same plate. Before I would have ate the plate myself, drank about 3 sodas and I would have still been wanting more food. Thank god those days are done!
  18. I don't like people who lie but I see a difference in lying just for the sake of lying and lying about something that is no ones business! Stop feeling bad. I also keep my surgery a secret and I have no problem telling people who ask me if I had weight loss surgery that no I haven't! I'm not ashamed I had surgery its just not anyone's business.
  19. Stop drinking and you will get used to it! I drank and drank liquids with my food before surgery and the thought of having to stop doing that was one of my biggest fears! I thought it was impossible but its not! I have no desire to drink and eat at the same time now.
  20. I've discovered bones I didn't know I had. I felt my hip bone and thought it was a big tumor! Lol
  21. Check into doctors in the states as well. I got several quotes from Mexico doctors for a tummy tuck and I was going to pay more in Mexico then I paid to have it done in Kansas City. One quote was 200 cheaper but then I had air fair and hotel costs. Plus someone had to go with me or I had to pay for a nurse to take care of me. The next place in Mexico was 700 more plus the cost of air fair, hotel and a nurse or have someone go with me. So it's worth the time to check out doctors and prices before you just run off to Mexico. I paid for my tummy tuck by saving like crazy! I canceled my satellite, and I have a pre paid phone to save money. Good luck!
