Does your throat make noises after you drink?

I am 3 weeks post op and I have noticed my throat makes weird noises after I drink. It doesn't matter how big or little the drink is or what I'm drinking. It does it with decaf tea, water, etc. It doesn't hurt or anything and it's really hard to explain how it feels. Is this too much swallowed air or what? It's almost like an empty stomach feeling but in my throat. :P

  • Mine does a lot. I call my sleeve my lead pipe (after an episode from Futurama) and I swear everything I drink turns into a metal ball clinking its way down my pipe! It's so loud and embarrasses me!

My throat makes gurgling noises after I drink or after I eat. Doc said that won't last forever. I really don't care since no one else can hear it but me, altho it feels a little weird.

Ha, yeah, it makes me laugh because it just goes on forever and sounds so ridiculous.

Yeap.. I call it my little alien.. :)

Mine does this too and I wondered if it happened to others. Especially when I first lay down at bedtime. Sounds loud to me and usually makes me smile cuz I remember the reason for it is my decision to change. :-)

Mine did the same thing but it got better over time.

Mine does it too. :)

And it always seems to do it while I am on the phone at work. I just know the other person is thinking, what the heck! :D

Yes mine does same, I am 3 months out! Sometimes can be embarrassing! I'm hoping it don't stay forever!
