  1. I was sleeved by dr V on 3/1. I only talked to him for about two seconds before surgery and then never saw him again so I really can't give you an opinion of him much. However, I have a sleeve of steel and nothing has bothered me. I have neat, minimal scars so as far as his work he did a great job. Sheri Burke was my coordinator and although as pleasant as she was, don't expect answers to any questions after the money hits her hands. No returned calls, no returned emails. I will also tell you to expect to be flexible in your travel plans. They took us back to San Diego a day early and dropped us off at a hotel around 10? that morning. Having surgery less than 48 hours earlier, I wasn't happy about laying on a couch in a hotel lobby for 5 hrs till our room was ready when I was supposed to be in a 4 star resort in Mexico recovering.
  2. A coke is a coke unless it's sprite lol. I'm almost 4 months out. I've had a couple kiddie cokes from sonic (diet dr p's for you sticklers) and did ok. I wouldn't dare sip off of a bottle or can but did fine with it a fountain after it sets a few and the bubbles work out. Its full of ice so I bet I only get about 4 oz or so of liquid. I used to drink 3 or 4 regular 44 oz dr peppers a day, so I don't feel bad about this. I usually take a sip or two and then it's like yep... You really didn't want it after all and I'm done with it.
  3. Watermelon...I eat it everyday!!!
  4. None of my sandals from last summer fit...I can't keep them on my feet! I bought two new pairs about a month ago and I'm sliding out of those too. It's aggravating to me but my sister is sure enjoying all my shoes.. And clothes lol
  5. You can make an appointment at your regional office and get it the same day. Getting across the border was no problem (didnt even stop us) but you would have thought we had fake passports as long as it took to clear us to get back across. I wouldn't go without. I was under the impression you couldn't cross without the card or passport when I called and asked...but that's me.
  6. I open it and let it sit for a few minutes then put it back in the fridge...the next evening it's not bubbly and I can drink it. Granted it does taste a little flat but it works. Not something I do all the time though.
  7. I use the Kidz Flatout bread, spread some sauce in it, turkey pepperoni, mozzarella cheese, and throw it on a pizza stone in the oven and crisp it up. Yummy
  8. So I'm 3 months post op on the 1st and down almost 60 lbs. I'm eating around 800 calories a day and 70ish grams of protein...sometimes I hit 900 or so. What is your typical calorie/protien intake and how far out are you? I know everyone is different, just curious how I stack up.
  9. there was wifi at the hospital so I used FaceTime and iMessage to keep in contact with my family. didn't have any surprises on my bill.
  10. I can't stand seeds in my shake or smoothies. I throw everything in my blender and then strain it as I'm pouring it into my cup. Gets rid of about 98% of the seeds and pulp
  11. Several girls I work with take Spark for a pre-workout energy boost. i think it may be an Advocare? product. They swear its great stuff but I'm very conscientious about what goes in my sleeve. They said its packed with vitamins and about two cups of coffee worth if caffeine in it. Anyone tried it?
  12. thank you so much! I am a 44H and can't wait to get to goal so I can have a reduction and lift...and a tummy tuck hehe. I've had these big girls my whole life and can't wait to say good riddance!!
  13. Roflmao...I read that as knocked up! Had to read it again lol
  14. Been here awhile and never heard the month thing before. Anyways, I always gain a lb or two before I start...I crave carbs also. But, the few days following I lose a few extra too...it's just water weight.
  15. I would tell him I'm going to loose more than weight when I kick your A** to the curb!!! What a tool.
  16. 332 here and down 53 lbs!
  17. I was sleeved 3/1, and am down 53 lbs. Started at 332 and currently 279. Life is good!
  18. Refriened beans are a slider for me...as well as rice cakes. Chicken I can eat 3 oz or so...but I can get one meatball and feel like I'm gonna explode!
  19. Was 8k the cheapest you found in Mexico? I only paid 4,200.
  20. I started a 48H and currently am a 44H being down 50 lbs. I've lost some side boob but that's it. I want to hit 140, my PCP wants me at 120. Having almost 200 lbs to lose, I hope I'm not left with two flapjacks! I was a DD in the 6th grade, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed they dont deflate. I totally plan on having the girls lifted, plumped, implanted...whatever it takes lol.
  21. I buy premiere at SAMs. Wish we had a Costco for $5 off!
  22. I can smell the litter box from the other end of the house after the cat does her business and before could stand next to it and never smell it. If I get near a smoker it about kills me and I used to smoke.
  23. I like the Adkins cranberry almond also. The cookies cream is yummy too.
  24. wow mcd's has SF? I will have to remember that next time I'm traveling. I'm boring with my coffee. I mix my choco premiere with 8 oz coffee, ice, and a Splenda for breakfast every morning.
