Finally joined the club...arrived at Onderland!
Seven months and twelve days post op, and I hit Onderland! My BMI is down to 42.3 from 60.5, and I'm down five sizes. I still have a ways to go but I feel amazing! I saved the outfit I took a pic in the day before surgery, but the pants were so big I couldn't keep them up lol.

How much weight will be lost?
I just did the math and I'm doing better than I thought. 172 lbs to lose (yeah...I know) and I'm down 99.6 lbs (that dang .4 lbs is taunting me!) My 60% would put me at 103 lbs and I should be there by the end of the month. That's a lot in 8 months. My mom told me the other day that I've lost my great grandmother lol (she weighed 96 lbs). I think after I hit the halfway mark I quit stressing over it. The weight will come off. My loss has always been pretty consistent at about 10 lbs a month and roughly 20 on a 20 day preop. I had surgery in Mexico, and considering I didn't have a nut and have done this on my own, I'm very proud of my success!

1 year and three weeks later...
I'm 7 months out. I traveled home this past weekend to visit my parents. My mom and I were in her room and she had a pic of me on her dresser from a vacation years ago. I looked at it and said... omg I was so fat! It's hard to imagine being that big now...only 7 months later

Question for vets and those sleeved longer than 6 months
I can't answer for the vets further out, but I hit my 6 month 9/1. I have consistently lost 2-3 lbs a week. I have about 70 lbs more to lose before I'm content. I will also admit (keep you comments to yourself... you know who you are lol) that I have worked out a handful of times since surgery. I will also say that since my loss hasn't been so drastic all at once, that my body has adjusted quite nicely and I don't have a lot of sagging skin. I'm going to have to have my arms done but knew going into it I would. They were bad before, they really flap in the wind now haha. I've been very pleased to this point, and don't regret my decision to have the surgery at all. I am at the point where I'm not completely exhausted and drained, and plan on starting to exercise in Nov when the gym around the block opens. I think starting out with so much to lose, it really put my body into shock. For the first 4 months I would come home so exhausted I couldn't cat h my breath. Now that my protein intake is great and I eat some carbs everyday (not many, whole grain only) it's really improved everything. By birthday is in two weeks, and losing 100 lbs is the best gift I could have ever given myself. Ok, the new SUV when I hit 50 lbs wasn't too shabby either

Is this Sonic drink real? Sleever Friendly?
I used to get them preop. It's made with diet sprite so it's carbonated. BTW Chick-fil-a's diet lemonade is amazing!

6 months post op and hit my first stall..?
So not complaining, but haven't lost in two weeks, and think I hit my first stall. I had surgery in Mexico so haven't had the luxury of a NUT. I checked into it but didn't see the point of paying $300 when I've been pretty successful on my own (to this point). I've been at 800 calories for several months and 60-80g of protein a day. I'm debating if I need to increase my calories or protein? For those of you around 6 months like me, what's your calorie/protein intake?

Sushi at almost 4 weeks post op ;,(

Fit Frappe Coffee Flavored Protein with Caffeine?
I take a chocolate premiere protein, mix a folgers instant packet when I'm traveling or add coffe if it's made...add a splash of SF vanilla bean torriani and a Splenda over ice. It's not Starbucks but its pretty good

I lost what?
Haha I lost 368 remotes
-
Do you think one slice...
I've had it twice...but I plan for it and save my carbs and calories. It is by no means a free treat. I got meat and veggie, ate the toppings and half of the crust of one small piece.

Protein for preop diet
Low fat cottage cheese...ate that and protein drinks for my 20 day preop. I ate so much of it I can't stand cottage cheese now lol...high protein though!

snacks
I slice a cucumber, mini sweet peppers, and throw some baby carrots in a baggie...usually make up four at a time. Then I mix a spicy ranch seasoning packet with some fat free sour cream for a dip. I found these little two tablespoon containers and measure out the dip so I can grab and go. Quaker sweet chili mini rice cakes are good when I want crunch. I always have a cranberry almond protein bar in my purse in case I get caught out somewhere so I won't be tempted to eat something I shouldn't. Oh, and always have 2% string cheese on hand...great snack for 50 calories
