  1. Congratulations this is the first day of the rest of your life Its very difficult in the beginning but It will get better each day at a time. Stay strong in your thoughts and remember why you did this. Keep getting your fluids and protein in best you can. It will take time but eventually you will get it all in. If your stomach feels gassy walk its the best and gas x strips.
  2. I lost 3 pounds in 2 days! I was constipated badly. I was not drinking enough water either so I took stool softener it was brutal but it came out sorry maybe too much info. Increase water and fiber good luck
  3. Low sugar/carbs can also cause it.
  4. I didnt loose any hair till I was at 3 month mark and I'm still losing it. Its everywhere!
  5. Mine have become heavier and last longer???? I expected the opposite. 66 pounds down
  6. Don't over stuff your self to the point that you are so full you want to vomit. vomiting is damaging to your teeth and esophagus. It can cause esophageal cancer if vomiting is done for a long period of time. you may want to speak to a therapist/psychologist to help with this eating disorder. My father did this and probably still does because he didn't want to gain weight but wanted to eat bad food.Prior to surgery I became desperate and I almost started to do it but didnt like the feeling. Keep making healthy food choices and Good luck.
  7. That amazing great job keep up the good work
  8. It will get better Hang in there and keep your eyes on the prize. walk around after you eat , I am 3 month out and still do that it helps with any discomfort I have. Eat slowly and chew the food well.
  9. I didnt think about it till they came in to take me to the operating room! They gave me what they called a Shot of taqilla to calm me down. After that I was speaking spanish that I learned from dora the explorer! I had my surgry in mexico, I forgot to add that detail LOL I also have been under anesthesia many times in the USA. Say a prayer before you go in and follow your surgeons instruction to the t. Good luck and I wish you the best

  11. Weight lifting 3 days a week and cardio for 2-3 days is what I have read. Youtube has allot of videos on excersice. Lunges and squats are great for the lowerbody. good luck
  12. All I watch is food channels, my husband thinks I'm obssessed! At the beggining of my journey it helped with the cravings.
  13. 12-20-2012 was my surgery date. I was 288 today I'm 226 I have lost 62 pounds , went from a size 3X to XL tops. 24 Wide to 18. My feet have also gotten smaller, I'm very happy about that because I have wide feet and can NEVER find shoes that fit only tennis shoes. My face look so much better ,my acne has cleared up allot. This surgery is amazing! This is the best thing I have ever done for my self
  14. I don't think your getting enough calories in. 300-350 seems pretty low to me. try to increase your calories that will bump up your metabolism and kick the weight loss off.
  15. You look wonderful WOW what a difference, great job
  16. Chesters corn puffs is the answer. It comes in butter or nacho cheese flavor. 46 pieces is 160 delicous calories lol another would be popcorn. Air popped popcorn, pam spray and seasoning awesome and very low in calories! For sweet I go for DARK CHOCOLATE dove mmmmmmmm. 1 bar 220 calories The key is yo can have junk but not all the time. Also make sure you are drinking enough water and try taking an acid reducer.
  17. CW:226 GW for June 1st: 193 I wanna lose 33 pounds
  18. I researched allot before getting my sleeve, my final desicion was based on the long term affects of the surgeries. With rounxy and bypass there are malabsortion and stretching of the pouch that can happen so I chose sleeve. My mother also was told by her Doc to get lapband or bypass but I talked her out of it. I'm 3 months out and very happy . Even if I dont loose weight as fast as a bypass or rounxy patient I know eventually all the weight will fall of with no malabsorption problems.
  19. what kind of protein? if meat or chicken that is allot I think. What size bougie did your doc use?
  20. Yes it is actually very important for them to know the amount anesthesia to administer.
  21. When I go to the chinease buffet I eat a little salad, 4 pieces of shrimp ,a little mashed potatoes and gravy. are you worried its too much?
  22. Sounds like she is freaking out because your loosing weight and might become attractive to the other sex. When I would loose weight in the past prior to surgery My husband would try to sabatough my efforts by buying pans of sweets and bring them home. On the other hand I would get jelous when he would lose weight and pick fights for no reason! My suggestion is to Grab her by both arms look her deep in her eyes and tell her that no matter how much I change on the out side I will always love you . You and Our children are the most important thing in my life! even though she already knows that verbalizing it will make her feel secure. This is what made me toss my insecurity out the window and bring me back down to reality. I have been mariied for 10 years and have 3 children. Me and my husband have also been to hell and back but have made through and are stronger. Try to stay positive and let her know how feel. It is very difficult as the sleever not to get deppressed over everything happening in your body during the first month. Tell her that you need her to support you through this difficult time and tell her you love her Hang in there you will both do great and there is nothing that will pull you apart! This surgery will bring you closer to one another once all the weight starts to shed
  23. I wish I knew then what I know now! I went crazy before my pre-op diet and gained 12 pounds because I was freaking out about never eating again like I want! Fettuccine Alfredo, pizza ,chips, some more chips LOL subs... I'm 3 months post op and If I did it all over again I would have not done it like that. Today I can eat fettuccine Alfredo, pizza, chips the only difference is the amount! congrats on your upcoming surgery this is gonna be the best thing you have ever done for you self
